It’s been one month since I had nostril/alar base reduction. I really hated how my nostrils got bigger when I smiled and how they looked lifted from the side, so I spent a year looking only into clinics related to alar base reduction and thinking it over. Two places seemed the best, and I chose this one because I liked the reviews and the consultations with the consultant and the doctor the most. It’s famous for alar base reduction, and I chose the surgery people usually get a lot here. They said they would pull the nasal alae inward to reduce them? and make an incision in the lower part and lift it upward. Anyway.. they explained something, but I’m very satisfied with the result haha. I don’t even really remember what my nose looked like before. I took about a week off, and when I went to work without a mask, no one noticed. My younger sibling knew about it but asked what on earth had changed;; Maybe because I can feel that it changed naturally, I’m even more satisfied. I guess alar base reduction really is about self-satisfaction. Before the stitches were removed, it was pretty swollen, and after the stitches were removed, the swelling went down dramatically. Right after that, the redness actually got worse, and now at one month there’s still some redness. Still, after removing the stitches, it can be covered with makeup. You have to be careful with smiling, talking, and facial expressions. It’s been a little over a month now, and my nose hurts a little. Daily life is completely possible, but I still recommend doing it when you have as much free time as possible.
