Hehehe, I’ve always had a muscular build + a fairly broad frame. I’m a bride-to-be this winter, but my back and upper arms looked way too big, so I exercised and dieted for a bit, then just got fat-extraction injections. (Of course, I’m still exercising.)
I’d had liposuction on another area before, but I didn’t want to go as far as liposuction this time, so I didn’t consider it from the start. The procedure could be done with only local anesthesia, without sedation, and aftercare after the procedure (lipolysis injections + extracorporeal shockwave therapy) was included 3 times over a month, so it seemed really systematic. I discussed it with my fiancé and got the procedure. On the day, they measured my weight and body composition, checked the circumferences of my arms and back, then after consultation with the director + design, I went into the procedure. Since I was fully conscious, I did get a little nervous... The whole procedure was finished in under 2 hours, I received the precautions, they gave me a pack of Selex, I downed it, and was discharged! They said recovery would be slow because the fat layer had severe fibrosis, and maybe because of that, I was quite swollen for about 3 days. But the major swelling seems to go down within 2 weeks?? Minor swelling takes about 1 to 2 months??
First of all, I can visibly see that my arm line and back line are really getting slimmer, and I felt the aftercare worked well, so I’m continuing to get additional aftercare. At the clinic, they check my size every time I go for aftercare, and so far it keeps decreasing every week. Now at 2 months, my arm circumference has decreased by a total of 3.8 cm, and my back circumference has decreased by a total of 4.1 cm!
I went back to work as usual starting the day after the procedure, and it definitely seems like recovery is faster than liposuction. At 2 months now, there’s almost no adhesion left either!
There are about 7 months left until the wedding now, and I want to manage this line well and wear my dress really beautifully... haha
