Starting from after the stitches were removed, my double eyelid surgery On days 6 to 7 before stitch removal, it was so itchy... Everyone said it was just part of the healing process as the tissue filled in, so I should try to bear with it Especially the day before getting the stitches removed, it was sooo itchy I must have scratched it a little in my sleep at night But other than that, everything was fine... it didn’t hurt at all I could go about daily life and even go to work
[Day 7 after surgery_ day of stitch removal] Even on the day of stitch removal, the doctor personally checked my progress. They checked whether the line came out well and rechecked any questions. They really seem to be very good with aftercare. It didn’t hurt when removing the stitches; they were very gentle. The front part of the eyes stung a little, but it was tolerable? I didn’t feel any pain at all after surgery, but actually it hurt more after the stitches came out Not extremely painful, just a numb, tingling kind of pain around the eyelids. That tingling sensation went away within about an hour!
Especially washing my face!!! I had wanted to wash my face so badly, and I could do it starting the next day Just not too roughly! Light makeup seemed possible too But since the stitches had just been removed, if water touched my eyes or my hands brushed them, it stung a little, so for about 3 days I washed my face while gently splashing water on my eyes~
[Swelling after stitch removal] About a week after the stitches were removed, the swelling went down a lot! You could really feel it Then I’d think, is it not going down much? and one day it would suddenly drop a lot. Around 2 weeks in, because it wasn’t going down much, I got anxious and briefly worried maybe my eyes would become puffy sausage eyes.... But don’t worry at all, it just goes down slowly, and after that the swelling drops a lot again! It doesn’t go down dramatically all at once; it decreases for a certain period, stays there, and then suddenly drops again at some point! The line is getting more defined and thinner, and I can see it myself And since I look in the mirror every day, I couldn’t really feel it except when it suddenly dropped, but people at work said the swelling was going down faster and faster day by day!
And honestly, from the time of surgery I already really liked it, But as the swelling went down, I liked it more and more, and I love it! I really love it. I tried to draw eyeliner, but the mucosal part feels a little numb And even though it’s been a month, the mucosa still looks a little everted.. But I don’t usually wear much makeup anyway, so I’m just not putting any on
For now, I didn’t have any front or outer corner canthoplasty at all; I only had incision surgery. I can’t believe just incision alone can make the eyes look this much bigger and more glamorous I’m really, really satisfied. And my swelling tends to go down later than other people’s, but even if it’s slow, swelling is bound to go down, so I don’t think you need to worry too much Also, I had severe uneven eyes, but they matched the heights really well! This was the first clinic I consulted with, and I got the procedure done right away, and I’m so happy with the result! I think I made a good choice. I’m looking forward to how it’ll look in 3 months!!
