Breast Surgery Reviews

Review of side effects 2 years after breast surgery (Mentor Smooth)

I had breast augmentation surgery with Mentor Smooth in the winter two years ago, and now it has been almost 2 years.

To briefly share my body specs: Height: 157.8 Previous weight: 55 -> Current weight: 47 Previous breast size: aaa -> Current breast size: 70C

In this post, rather than organizing the pros and cons, I’ll focus mainly on the side effects.

1. Rippling side effect (very severe / left breast) -> O Compared with two years ago, I lost too much weight this year, so until before, I could only slightly feel some wrinkling, but now the rippling in my left breast has become so severe that it is very visible to the eye..

It’s also awkward to blame the clinic for this because - I chose Mentor Smooth (an implant with a low fill rate) because I didn’t have money. - My skin was thin to begin with, and even before losing weight, only my upper body was on the thin side. - I had markedly insufficient breast tissue to begin with (AAA cup). So I’m under so, so, so much stress right now

It’s not capsular contracture or anything like that, so it’s awkward to get revision surgery, but gaining weight is also awkward.. ^_^.. lol..

2. Animation deformity (moderate / left breast) -> O Well... as expected, the left breast definitely moves. Rather than calling this a side effect, I guess the reason is more that the breast had little baseline tissue.

3. Capsular contracture?? ---> X Recently, I had several ultrasound exams for breast checkups, and there were no particular abnormal findings.

+ Separately, I recently developed a lump in my right breast (not related to implant insertion), and I had a biopsy and am waiting for the results.

+ I wrote this as a review, but honestly I’m leaving this post because I’m very worried. It’s a bit worse in real life than in the photos. I think the rippling is quite severe, but I can’t judge whether it is severe enough to require revision surgery, so I’m gathering the courage to post this for advice.

+ Also, if there is anything you’re curious about that I didn’t write in this post, I’ll sincerely answer everything!
