It’s day 16 after my revision rhinoplasty I never thought I’d be writing a post about side effects too I should have gotten more information and looked into it carefully before getting surgery I think this was a disaster from rushing into it . Even though the hospital said I had septal cartilage (not used during my first surgery), they recommended donated rib cartilage, and at the time my columella was hanging too low, so they said they would correct the columella, and they said the silicone height of my current nose was satisfactory On the day of surgery, I went in without them even sketching on my face
The result after surgery was devastating 7 days after the nose surgery, when they removed the splint, it was so severely swollen It was the widest bridge of my nose ever (everyone acknowledged it) I attached photos
Blood had collected, so on the day they removed the splint, they drained the blood, then I had a tube in for a day and had the blood drained again, and the next day I went and had the splint removed
So I thought it was just swelling, and now it’s day 16?? But the hospital told me to keep applying 3M tape for 2 months every time it comes off, so when it had come off I looked at my columella, and it was devastating
The columella is deeply sunken in (not corrected, it’s at the level of being cut away The columella looks crooked Inside, there’s something white and hard like that against the wall. Could it be cartilage,,?
The bridge of my nose is still abnormally high They said my previous nose was 2.8 mm, and I clearly wanted the current height, but they put in 4.5~5 mm
I’m so scared right now and I never want AS/revision care from that hospital again If this is also a side effect, would it be possible to confront them and get a refund or something, or treatment at another hospital?? Please help me
Also, please recommend hospitals for early removal,, I don’t have the confidence to spend 6 months with cartilage sticking out like this
