Cheekbone Surgery Reviews@cheekbone-review

2-week facial contouring review and information sharing

Honestly, I’m 2 weeks post-op, and when I look at other reviews, they already write about things like drainage tubes and experiences similar to mine, so I’ll talk about the parts that were personally difficult for me. Starting from the day of surgery, I was really out of it and had a hard time for about 3 days. If you happen to have a similar constitution to mine, I want to let you know that you might struggle a bit like I did. But this is really constitution + case by case. The person in the room next to me who had surgery on the same day was totally fine from the day of surgery and had no issues. Just take this as reference!

First, I had a hard time because of 2 things: one was that I didn’t wake up well from anesthesia, and the other was that I’m the type who doesn’t tolerate antibiotics well. I only found this out after having surgery.

First of all, I had the surgery under sedation anesthesia, but after surgery, I woke up from the sedation much more slowly than most people, so it was really hard. My surgery was in the morning, and while I was admitted at the hospital that day, they said people usually fully wake up around 6-8 p.m., but in my family, starting with my relatives, we’re weak with alcohol (I didn’t know I was this bad either, since I always only drink 1 or 2 cans). So I finally became awake enough around 12 to be able to sleep. From the moment I opened my eyes after surgery, I felt so nauseous that I kept retching and even threw up a littleㅜㅠ (But since I hadn’t eaten anything, almost nothing came out.)

I finally fell asleep and thought I’d be okay now, but the next day I was still nauseous.. So I was supposed to get an IV at the hospital and be discharged in the morning, but I absolutely couldn’t, so I stayed until the afternoon, calmed down a bit, and went home. Even after I got home, especially in the evening, it was so hard, and I kept feeling like retching again. The next day, even after visiting the hospital and getting an IV, I ended up throwing up againㅜㅠ But I didn’t know this, and they said it could be because of the antibiotics. They said there are people like this, so I should try stopping the medications I was currently taking (the ones I received from the pharmacy and had to take regularly). So I stopped them, and the nausea rapidly stopped and got better….!

If there’s anyone like me who can’t drink alcohol or doesn’t tolerate antibiotics well, keep this in mind as a reference! If it doesn’t apply to you, that’s even better, because you won’t have to go through this kind of struggle!!
