This doctor explains the surgical method in detail. He first explained everything I had been wondering about regarding the procedure. When I asked at other clinics, they often didn't really answer those parts, so it felt refreshing to finally get a clear explanation. My nose is slightly upturned, so the plan is to use rib cartilage for the tip. However, they are planning a septal reconstruction surgery, and it feels excessively aggressive for my nose, so I'm hesitant. It's not just septal lengthening; it's a surgical method used on noses where the septum has been damaged, so that makes me hesitant. Still, I felt that the surgical skill and the result were clearly guaranteed, so it gave me the impression that I could trust them with my nose. If the estimate is that high, then shouldn't the result be clearly guaranteed too for it to be ethical?! The thing that concerns me is that they explained that after surgery, the bridge/columella could become crooked or nasal obstruction symptoms could occur, but I didn't hear any solution for that. In a way, that could be seen as honest and ethical, but if I pay 1600 and end up with functional nasal obstruction or a crooked nose, then what? In the end, I didn't choose them because the solution felt excessive for my nose and because of the cost. I don't want them touching my perfectly fine septum.
