1. ㄷㅇㅇ Director: Not designated - ㅇㅎㅈ Recommended surgery: Incisional ptosis correction (inner double eyelid) Cost: mid-1 million won range (eyes only, photo review condition), low-1 million won range (must do many full-face reviews) Pressure to book: X - Since it was my first hospital and I didn’t know much, I went without designating a director, and the consultant recommended a director who is good at men’s eyes with a natural monolid or inner double eyelid feel - Depending on the person, the director might feel slightly unfriendly (ex. Can I see review photos? - Find them yourself, that violates medical law, that kind of feeling?) I don’t particularly care about things like friendliness? so it was fine, and I just felt that they said only what needed to be said cleanly - They did not recommend epicanthoplasty because they thought my eyes would look too close together - Also, maybe because the director had just come from surgery, there was no name tag and the consultation went by in an instant, so I didn’t even know the name. After the director consultation, the consultant also took a long time because of another consultation, so I waited but couldn’t talk and left (because of another hospital reservation). On the way home, I called the consultant and asked the director’s name, price, etc. - After coming home and looking at reviews, the reviews were much more to my liking than expected. There were many reviews with a very natural feel, not excessive. Overall: The hospital was moderately large and clean, the consultant was extremely pretty, there was no pressure to book, and overall it was a clean hospital. The price was reasonable, and I liked the director’s reviews, so it was good.
2. ㅇㅇㅂ Director: Not designated - ㅅㅇㅎ Recommended surgery: Incisional ptosis correction inner double eyelid (non-incisional also possible) Cost: mid-1 million won range (eye review only) Pressure to book: Quite a bit - Likewise, I went without designating a director, got a recommendation from the consultant, and had the consultation - The director was kind and there wasn’t anything especially notable, but the consultant asked which hospitals I had been to and, while comparing with the places I had visited, said that hospital was more factory-like, their hospital’s director had more experience, and the first hospital I visited didn’t have many good-result reviews - It led into a booking recommendation, and they said this price only applies if I confirm now, and if not now, the price will go up. Since I had come from the previous hospital without even hearing the price, after thinking it over I said I’d postpone the decision for now, and they suggested making an undated reservation, so I made one for now and came back (100% refundable, 100,000 won). Overall: It felt a little uncomfortable, but the price and overall impression were okay. One notable thing is that the hospital floor was slippery
3. ㅇㅇㄹㅇ Recommended surgery: Buried suture + partial-incision ptosis correction, triple lateral canthoplasty (they call it triple because it is lateral canthoplasty in three directions, but other places usually call it dual canthoplasty), under-eye fat removal Cost: partial-incision ptosis correction 1.3 million / lateral canthoplasty and under-eye fat each 1 million won for the large item (cash price basis) Pressure to book: X - It is mentioned a lot in various cafes for men’s eye surgery - Their hospital’s own cafe has many real reviews and looked okay, so I went - They have a virtual plastic surgery machine, but it was basically just a Photoshop-level pull-and-stretch, so the result was terrible - The hospital facilities felt a little old - First, this hospital had told me by phone that they do not do incisions, but the director also said partial incision. When I said I had heard that non-incisional could come undone, they said that is lack of technique, partial incision is enough, and even someone who had it 20 years ago has not come undone - I liked that the consultation was detailed and confident. Also, they fully explained why they were recommending under-eye fat or lateral canthoplasty and clearly told me what surgeries I needed, which was very good. - The director made small talk too and was kind of funny, so I had to hold back laughter a lot - But it seems like they recommend partial incision + triple canthoplasty to most people Overall: The director’s confident manner inspires trust. It’s a shame there’s no review discount and it’s a cash price.
4. ㅂㄹㅇ Director: Designated - ㄱㅅㅁ Recommended surgery: Incisional ptosis correction inner double eyelid, upper epicanthoplasty, lateral lower canthoplasty, under-eye fat repositioning Cost: total in the 3 million won range (when writing a review) Pressure to book: X (Director consultation details) - I waited a bit because of the director’s surgery, but because I had waited a long time, they examined me more carefully and in more detail (not obvious explanations like what ptosis correction is, but genuinely necessary comments - ex. bone positions in the face, degree of cheekbone protrusion, difference in depth between the left and right eyes, etc.) - The space between my eyes is not wide, but compared with my eye length, it is still slightly wide - I shouldn’t have a deep epicanthoplasty, just an upper epicanthoplasty to reduce the Mongolian fold -> I think upper epicanthoplasty is definitely necessary - Because my skin is thin, scarring probably won’t be significant - The skin under the under-eye fat is protruding? so under-eye fat repositioning is needed. Avoid hospitals that recommend under-eye fat removal (Notes) - Compared with other hospitals, the free AS period is 1 year longer - The price is quite good with a photo review, but the writing criteria are somewhat strict - Separate review deposit of 500,000 won (paid after completion [after 10 months]) Overall: The hospital is clean and large. The view is excellent. The director’s explanation was so detailed it felt on another level. Currently my first choice!
5. ㅂ Director: Designated - ㅎㅇㅌ Recommended surgery: Incisional ptosis correction inner double eyelid, epicanthoplasty, lateral lower canthoplasty, under-eye fat repositioning Cost: total low-4 million won range (review price) Pressure to book: X - The review photos were so much to my liking that this was the only final hospital where I paid a 10,000 won consultation fee and had a consultation. - The consultation and recommended surgeries were consistent with the 4th hospital. However, they recommended epicanthoplasty rather than upper epicanthoplasty, and said upper epicanthoplasty is included in epicanthoplasty. They said they would not open it deeply - They described my eyes as awkward to work with, saying that no matter where they operate, they probably won’t become dramatically bigger, so it would be good to do epicanthoplasty and lateral lower canthoplasty too -> epicanthoplasty is the priority - They said I don’t need to worry that they will become too big or too excessive Overall: It was good, but the price was a bit higher than the previous one. I’m deciding between hospitals 4 and 5.
