It’s almost been a year since my first surgery, and I had functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, you know? But they placed one side of the septum thicker, so when I take photos the nostril sizes look uneven, and that bothers me. Because of the thick placement, I did the functional part to breathe better and also did the cosmetic part at the same time to get it all over with while I was already going through the pain, but the bone is blocking the airway, so breathing is still uncomfortable..
For the material, they raised the nasal tip using septal cartilage removed during the functional surgery! At a glance it looks natural and okay, but when I stretch my philtrum or touch the nasal tip with my hand, it feels like the nasal tip, which originally deviated to the left, now deviates to the right after surgery..
Around the 5-month mark, I thought the thick placement was swelling and asked about it, but they said something like they placed one side thicker because they were worried the nasal tip would droop quickly. And they said the occasional feeling like my nose is being poked with a toothpick is because of nerve recovery, that this takes a long time, that there are no side effects and everything is fine, so I just accepted it. But as I’ve kept living with it, it’s uncomfortable, so I want revision surgery
For revision surgery, would it be better to just ask the original hospital to do an AS surgery because I’m dissatisfied with the shape, or should I just go to another hospital? If I have an AS surgery at the original place, they won’t deliberately do it roughly or make it weird just because it’s a surgery that doesn’t make them money, right..?
Before asking for AS, should I get a CT somewhere else and at least hear an explanation about whether anything is wrong? I only did online research, chose the hospital, and went straight into surgery without consultations at other hospitals, so this time I’m wondering if I should hear opinions from other hospitals too
