Phew, the things I considered most important while getting breast surgery were
1. Safety 2. Naturalness 3. Feel
These three! So I deliberately looked up reviews with videos about how they feel and kept going in and out of clinic websites~ Then I heard that the more in-person consultations you go to, the better, so I thought I should look into and visit several places. But once I actually did online research and went to consultations at the two places I liked the most, I found one place that clearly drew me in, so I decided on surgery without looking at more places.
Honestly, rather than whether it is good or appropriate to visit a certain number of places, I think the difference is just whether you personally found a clinic that feels right or not In my personal opinion,, I don't think you need to obsess too much over the number of clinics!! When I look around this community, there seem to be lots of posts asking how many places people went to (I used to be like that too), so I'm writing my subjective opinion lol. If there is a clinic that looks good, just setting a date and going for it also seems like one way.
Anyway, when I found the place I was really drawn to, this is how I felt: the director had over 20 years of experience and was a breast surgery specialist, they really emphasized that their surgical system was as clean as a university hospital's (I first heard about sterile filters there), they said they provide continuous aftercare for one year, they said they show the full CCTV recording... As for the shape, I had already checked it before going, so I felt sure that if I had surgery there, there would be no problem, and I thought I wouldn't have anything to worry about because of my breasts. So I had it done at Glam, and it's been a little under a month~~ I did Motiva, inframammary incision, dual plane, 300!
I really agonized a lot between Mentor Xtra and Motiva too, but in the end I liked the firmer, springier feel of Motiva more, so I chose this haha. Right now they don't feel very soft yet, but the tight firmness from the early post-op period improved a lot as swelling went down, and when I touch them myself, I can tell the feel has loosened up a bit!! I'm going to keep waiting while receiving a bit more care...
At first, I wondered if I had gone too small, but hmm, after actually putting them in, I thought that with my skin/tissue quality, if I had gone bigger than this, they would have looked much more bulging and felt much harder It really made me think there is a reason clinics recommend what they do. Everyone, don't overdo it just because you want to go too big; go with the recommended size!! Later, when I heard from the clinic, they said many people who went too big at other clinics and regretted it come in for revision surgery Since the weight also gets heavier, apparently neck and shoulder pain can be pretty bad too.. I think moderation is best for anything. The old saying that too much is as bad as too little is not wrong at all.. (Someone might think I'm one year post-op lololol)
Recovery was quick because it was an inframammary incision, and other than not being able to wash my hair by myself at first and not being able to shower in the early period, which felt a bit unpleasant, everything else was okay! But I do think my shoulders have gotten somewhat tense after surgery I've been stretching often these days, but it feels like my arms don't stretch naturally the way they did when I stretched before surgery, and they feel a bit stiff when moving back? I still can't do a full biiig stretch~~! and move them back. I guess I need to keep stretching more consistently lololol
Oh, and I have one question. I'm just about to start scar care?! I just need to apply ointment and wear gel sheets? Is that right? When I searched, there were reviews saying they keep the gel on 24 hours a day. How are everyone here separately managing it at home? Aside from what the clinic does!
