1. Day of surgery First of all, I went without sleeping properly, haha. From my house, I drove about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car? and arrived at the hospital. What I did there was roughly <filled out the surgery consent form / filled out the review contract (I can’t tell you the contents) -> changed into surgical clothes -> re-consultation with the director -> payment -> waiting -> entered the operating room>! When changing into surgical clothes, I had to take off absolutely everything, even my underwear and socks, and wear the surgical gown + disposable panties, so I was a bit flustered, haha. Someone said it would be cold so I should wear leggings, but I had to take everything off anyway, so it was no use ㅠ
-Operating room Before entering the operating room, I thought they would let me talk with my guardian and say I was going in, but I just went in, so I was flustered lol. First, I went in and they secured my arms and legs (not tightly like in a psychiatric hospital, it felt kind of loose), disinfected my face, ears, and shoulders, inserted an IV, put something like clay? in my ear that I would wear later to prevent deformation, took it out to make a mold, and while I was listening to them setting the surgical instruments on my abdomen, the director came in. But it really felt like that red-flag-blue-flag game: the teacher disinfecting me from above was saying, “This will be cold~ this will smell acrid~,” and below they were saying, “The needle is going in~ if you move, we’ll have to do it again, so stay still~,” so my mind was all over the place lololol. I can’t multitask, so I was just like, “uh, huh?” and they took care of it, haha... Anyway, the director said, “You can just comfortably keep your eyes closed, haha,” checked the line a few times, and at some point I felt the anesthetic going in and just passed out... I thought counting numbers looked cool and wanted to do it, but they didn’t ask me to, so I was disappointed (even if I had, it probably would’ve been over in 2 seconds)
Eye surgery (non-incisional) What was really fascinating was that after they finished making the eye line and before fully tying the thread, I woke up once! So I could kind of feel the director saying, “Open your eyes~ look up~ look down~,” and even tying the thread. In the middle, there was exactly one sting! which was probably the needle going in. But it just felt like getting an injection! The problem was after the sedation anesthesia progressed a bit more. When I drink a lot, I usually get hyperventilation, and this time I got hyperventilation once too, and I think they told me to breathe slowly. They handled it well. If you’re someone like me who gets unusual symptoms when drinking a lot, I think it’s better to tell the hospital in advance.
Nose surgery For the nose... surprisingly, I slept so well that I have nothing to write... Other people said when they had sedation anesthesia they felt like they were riding an amusement ride or whatever, but I didn’t even dream and just slept deeply... haha
Recovery room While all that was happening in a blur, the surgery ended... As I was lying on the bed in the recovery room, the front desk staff gave my guardian the things I needed to take home and the prescription, and explained the precautions too. And when the anesthesia wore off a bit, my throat was so dry it felt like I was dying... So I asked if I could drink water, but they said not yet, so I almost cried ㅠ Still, I’m the kind of person who can walk extremely well even when dead drunk, so even though the anesthesia hadn’t fully worn off, I went to the bathroom fine, walked fine, drank a glass of water, and went home safely. That day, the anesthesia wore off a bit late, so except for my ears aching slightly, nothing hurt!
<<Summary and tips>> 1. Wear a shirt or something easy to change out of. Even if you wear leggings or whatever underneath, you have to take everything off anyway (depends on the hospital), so dress as comfortably as possible 2. If you get unusual symptoms when drinking a lot, tell the hospital in advance (hyperventilation, etc.) 3. Sedation anesthesia is more of a 2-second knockout than you’d think 4. Bring 2 bottles of water and a straw to drink on the way home. I thought I was going to die of thirst on the way home
2. Day 2 after surgery (removal of nasal cotton + eye and nose disinfection)
I originally have a habit of breathing through my mouth (of course I do breathe through my nose too, but about 20%? I breathe using both), so the nasal cotton didn’t feel like it would kill me, but because I was breathing less than usual, my body had no strength... Pain-wise, only my ears hurt a bit, and it was okay.
I visited the hospital and had the nasal cotton removed + my nose and eyes disinfected, and the person I had seen in the operating room did it! I had both my eyes and nose done, and they said I didn’t have much swelling, so we made some small talk. Then when I was going “ah~” for the nasal cotton removal, they pulled it out, but it hurt more than I expected, so my “ah~” became “aaah!” and I was a bit embarrassed... lol. After the nasal cotton was removed, the disinfectant smell was so acrid that I just breathed through my mouth, haha... They placed one piece of gauze under my nose, and when everything was done, the director came and checked my eye line and the inside condition of my nose before leaving! Seeing him come made me think, “This is why people look for private clinics,” haha. The teacher who disinfected me was also kind and nice.
3. Day 4 after surgery (ear gauze removal / band application + eye stitch removal + nose disinfection)
I visited the hospital, but I came an hour early, so they provided a swelling laser service that wasn’t originally scheduled! On days 1–2, I barely swelled, to the point that the person disinfecting me was surprised, but by days 3–4 I suddenly swelled a lot, so maybe that’s why... haha. I really swelled so much that from then on I became a square pufferfish... Today I’m even more swollen. Total chaos.
They removed the gauze that had been placed on the front and back of my ears, and changed it to the ear-shaped clay mold that had been fitted during surgery on the front of my ear / a band on the back! And when they removed the stitches from my double eyelid surgery, it stung a bit here and there! It wasn’t unbearable, but I’m a wimp, haha. That day my ears hurt a bit, and somehow the teacher disinfecting me noticed and mentioned it... She said she had gotten piercings and that it would feel exactly like that. I was surprised because it was completely accurate! It feels like it would ache exactly this much after getting a piercing. Then they cleaned inside my nose too, and I came home!

Important!!!))) I still don’t have any bleeding or difficulty breathing, etc.! The area where they shaved down my dorsal hump a little developed bruising today, so I have some tenderness along the nasal bridge and around the eyes, but it’s not severe. Just a throbbing ache? That’s a relief, but since the splint hasn’t been removed yet and the swelling is severe, I didn’t write anything like the line came out pretty or I’m satisfied with it~ Please note that I can’t answer even if you ask! I’ll talk about that after 3 months and 6 months have passed, haha.
