For reference, I already have revision surgery scheduled, but I’m posting this review because, as I felt when I was searching online for a long time, sausage-like eyes themselves aren’t that common of a case, so it was hard to look into; I’m posting this hoping it helps even a little.
*My eye condition -Both eyes are thick sausage-like eyes -For my first surgery, I had buried-method double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction together, and I think I didn’t get much effect from the ptosis correction -It’s almost been a year since my first surgery.. I started looking into it around month 8 -The inner corner area of my left eye is especially puffy, and I thought it would never go down, so I looked into revision surgery
*Naturalism -Currently I have a semi-out line -They said it doesn’t look like there is more swelling left to go down, and the line itself doesn’t suit me -They recommended lowering the line from semi-out to in-out. At first, they also said to redo ptosis correction, but when I said I didn’t see much effect from ptosis correction during my first surgery, they removed that from the plan -And they said lowering the line would also need to be done with the two-line technique -Otherwise, because of the fixation strength, there is a high chance of multiple folds forming.. especially at the inner corner of the left eye -I felt the doctor was meticulous because they held the line several times and tried to find what double eyelid line suited my eye shape -Overall, the consultation with the doctor was good -But the consultant pushed too hard to make a reservation.. that was a bit I felt like my soul was leaving my body while listening;; -I was also worried about the two-line technique, and since it was my first consultation for revision surgery, I didn’t make a reservation before leaving
*Olo -The doctor here also recommended lowering the line from semi-out to in-out -They said I don’t currently have a lot of swelling, and the line was too high to begin with -They said the puffy-looking inner corner of the eye isn’t severe, but it looks more that way because the line is a bit asymmetrical and my skin type is thick -Fortunately, they said the line could be lowered with an incision method -They said not to do ptosis correction or canthoplasty. The doctor said the shortcut to success is to operate so that the revision surgery looks as unnoticeable as possible.. -I was worried because I had severe swelling after my first surgery and asked about it, and they said not all eye surgeries cause severe swelling. Rather, they said many people have less swelling during revision surgery if the eyes are done with a surgical method that suits them -The consultant did ask which hospital I was going to consult at next, but thankfully didn’t tell me I had to make a reservation before leaving
*Machimpyo -There tends to be a bit of a wait here, so I think it would be better to go here last in the order -The doctor looked at the photos taken and explained while reviewing them. From the doctor’s view, they said it might be okay to revise only the left eye -When I said I thought the line was too high, they said then let’s do both sides, and they answered all the questions I asked well, but.. the consultation ended relatively quickly -Since I had heard both the two-line technique and incision method earlier, I said I didn’t know what I should do, and the doctor said that from their view, enough improvement would be possible with the incision method too -They asked, “Do you have anything else to ask?” and when I went, “Ah, no..” and hesitated vaguely, the consultation ended. That was disappointing.. -Still, they explained well why such a thick line had settled in my eyes. All the answers felt highly professional -The consultant consultation was also short. There was no pressure to book, and after going over what the doctor diagnosed again, they only told me the cost and it ended -Still, it was a clinic I had wanted to visit, and I think I did well to go for the consultation
*What I felt after in-person consultations -I don’t think it’s meaningful to say you’re torn after visiting only one or two places -I recommend visiting at least 3 places, then carefully choosing while comparing all the diagnoses you received
