I have surgery coming up, so I’m writing this down like a record for myself to look back on later.
1. Sinnonhyeon ㄹㅂㄹ -I went for a consultation because I was drawn in after seeing successful reviews for very difficult rhinoplasty cases. (For anyone here who might go there, I recommend booking well in advance.. I underestimated it because it wasn’t peak season, and I was surprised that I couldn’t get a consultation right away.) -I filled out a checklist and had a CT scan. Consultant > director surgeon > consultant, in that order. -The consultant first asked in detail what kind of nose look I wanted to change to. There were more questions than I expected, so that was interesting. -I felt the director surgeon’s consultation was extremely thorough. The reason I felt that way was, when I came out after the consultation, they had spent almost 30-40 minutes just with me.. During the consultation, they also turned on the CT, drew on it while showing me, and when I asked what the nasal septum was or where each rhinoplasty material is used, they explained it in a way I could easily understand. -And as I’d definitely seen in reviews, they seemed to prefer designing a clearly noticeable before-and-after difference. Since I already have a very flat nose and wanted to raise my bridge a lot if I got rhinoplasty, I’m glad our tastes seemed to match well. -The director surgeon recommended a silicone height of 4-5 mm. They said that although the side view is important for the nose, it also needs to be raised without making the nostrils look overly visible from the front, and that this would be the prettiest-looking height for my nose. -Besides that, they pulled the chair close and explained all sorts of things about my nose.. but I didn’t have a recording on, and I wasn’t taking notes while listening, so I don’t remember everything That’s a shame. -At the end, the consultant summarized once more what the director surgeon had diagnosed and explained the cost. I liked the nose design they suggested, but since it was my first consultation, I said I’d think about it more. They gave me a business card and told me to contact them anytime if I had questions. -Actually, my friend also wanted to get eyes and nose done together and was curious about the combined cost, so I called and asked. The consultant gave me a rough idea kindly. Still, they said the exact amount could only be known after coming in for a consultation, so my friend also made a reservation
2. Sinnonhyeon ㅊㅁ -I wanted to keep my route as short as possible, so I searched for somewhere close to ㄹㅂㄹ and booked it. But looking at reviews here too, they seemed good at difficult rhinoplasty cases, so I went without thinking too much more. -But the wait was way too long.. I went to the restroom twice while waiting. -Here, after the CT scan, it started directly with the director surgeon’s consultation. So I told the director surgeon directly what nose shape I wanted. -While looking at the CT scan together, they told me which direction my nose was deviated, whether osteotomy was needed, and things like that. They also showed me a really wide variety of other people’s postoperative photos. Most were photos of difficult rhinoplasty cases. -The director surgeon recommended autologous costal cartilage no matter what. They said that way the support strut would be firm, and even with 4 mm silicone, it would settle safely. But looking at the reviews here, it did seem like most people use autologous costal cartilage. They said things like, shouldn’t it be finished with the first surgery, and without autologous costal cartilage it’s an unstable nose. I liked how confident they seemed, but since it’s my first surgery, I was a little confused.. -At the end, the consultant again briefly explained why autologous costal cartilage was needed and gave some surgery information. They were very kind, but because the recommended material options were limited, the cost jumped much higher than I expected.. -And thinking about it, this place does seem good at shaping difficult noses, but it didn’t seem like they go for a completely flashy look! I’m writing this for reference in case there’s anyone hoping for a flashy to semi-flashy nose.
