I took one more day off and visited 4 hospitals. 1. ㅈㅅㅡㅌㅏ Hospital, female director The hospital is very large. The waiting room has a rather strange duplex-like structure. Consultation fee: x How I found it: Gangnam ㅇㅇ app; I also wanted to hear a woman’s perspective Recommended surgeries: revision incisional double eyelid surgery, fat grafting above the eyes, lateral lower canthoplasty - She drew the line several times, checked my eye-opening strength while placing her hand above my eyebrows, and said I didn’t really need additional ptosis correction. - Canthoplasty: upper canthoplasty was optional, and she said lateral lower canthoplasty would be good to do. - She said that for the hollowing above the eyes, fat needs to be injected while doing incisional double eyelid surgery in order to place it in the desired area. (This was generally the common opinion at the other plastic surgery clinics too.) - Cost: revision double eyelid surgery 14x, fat injection 16x, upper canthoplasty 8x, lateral canthoplasty 9x The price was on the reasonable side, but the unit price for fat injection was high.. I guess anything gets expensive once it becomes revision surgery.
2. ㅇㅅㅡㅌㅏ Director ㄱㅁㅊ - Consultation fee: 10,000 won by bank transfer - How I found it: YouTube (the name was ㄹㄹㄷ, but the business name changed) - Recommended surgeries: fat or filler injection, excision of sagging skin, lateral canthoplasty - Cost: high 1 million won range for everything They said they tend to recommend only the surgeries that are necessary, and this was the only hospital I visited that said my double eyelid had not come undone, and that only a bit of sagging skin should be excised. They also assessed the canthoplasty while pulling on the area. Both the consultant and the doctor were good, but I felt reluctant because of the possibility that my eyes might not close fully as a side effect after skin excision, plus the idea of putting filler above my eyes.
3. ㅅ ㅅ Hospital, chief director ㅣ ㅣㄴ - Consultation fee: none - How I found it: I went because it was mentioned a lot in a cafe regarding canthoplasty - Cost: high 3 to 4 million won range - Recommended surgeries: They explained two types Brow lift or revision double eyelid surgery, fat grafting, ptosis correction They said all the canthoplasties could be opened, basically - The consultation time overlapped with lunch, so I had to wait about 40 minutes. Even during that time, judging by the huge number of reservation inquiry calls coming to the front desk, it seemed like a famous hospital. - This was the only place that diagnosed a brow lift as the solution. They seemed confident about the surgical method. - After searching this community, I saw many reviews saying it did not turn out well, so pass.
4. ㅇㅇㅂ Chief director (ㄱㄴㄱㅊ Station) - Consultation fee: none - How I found it: S University, the hospital where I had my first surgery - Cost: high 2 million won range; lateral lower canthoplasty in the 2 million won range - I had been satisfied with the result of my first surgery, so I went back. The only hospital that took photos before the consultation They opened the chart from my surgery 7 years ago and consulted in detail They said my double eyelid had come undone and recommended redoing it with an incision Their opinion was that lateral canthoplasty would only be possible by about 1 mm
Conclusion: I’m planning to choose one among ㅇㅇㅌ, ㅇㄷ, and ㅇㅇㅂ. ㅇㅇㅌ: incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, fat repositioning above the eyes, upper canthoplasty ㅇㄷ: incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, lateral canthoplasty only ㅇㅇㅂ: incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, fat repositioning above the eyes, lateral lower canthoplasty
Concerns: - ㅇㅇㅌ and ㅇㄷ surprisingly have some negative reviews - ㅇㅇㅂ: the price for lateral lower canthoplasty is quite expensive Thank you for reading this long post. I’ll come back with a surgery review around August(__)
