At first, I had completely monolidded eyes with no inner fold at all, and I have a lot of fat on my eyelids, so I was definitely thinking incision surgery when I went for consultations!! I was also getting tired of wearing heavy makeup.. and all the people around me who had monolids were getting double eyelid surgery, so before I knew it I started getting interested even though I had not been thinking about double eyelid surgery at all, and that is how I decided to go for it
For reference, I did all my consultations on a Saturday! I also got a lot of help from these kinds of review posts, so I thought it might help someone else too????!
1) G.R.D. (Director O.M.C.)

Since there were so many recommendations, I was torn between Director K.H.S. and Director O.M.C., but I liked the after-photo results from Director O.M.C. a little more, so I booked a consultation with Director O.M.C. for myself. But there were way more reviews for Director K.H.S. Honestly, I did not feel strongly one way or the other between the two!!
((At first I took the elevator and needed to get off on the 12th floor, but there was no 12th-floor button, so I thought I would just get off on the 11th floor and take the stairs. But when I got off on the 11th floor, it was just dark and everything was closed, and there was not even an emergency stairwell큐 So I had to turn on my flashlight and search around like crazy.. I could not do anything either way and just waited for the next elevator helplessly.. Everyone, make sure to check which floors the elevator serves before riding I also went without contact lenses, so I could not see anything at all))
The inside of the clinic was clean, and the staff at the front desk were generally kind. After waiting about 10 minutes, I had a consultation with the manager, and she roughly analyzed what line I wanted, that my left eyebrow was higher, that I used the left side of my muscles more, and so on.
The doctor first recommended incision, fat removal, medial canthoplasty, and ptosis correction. I did not even know I opened my eyes using my forehead, but here they said I was using my forehead.... They pressed my eyebrows down with their hand so I could not lift them and told me to open my eyes, and when I did, my eyes were... like Woong-ee's eyes, ㅡ ㅡ, looking kind of annoyed, so I was like, keup..; and laughed while my nostrils flared.
Anyway, they said ptosis correction was essential (but I saw somewhere that doing ptosis correction from the first surgery is not good or something... I do not know the basis for that) The doctor seemed really busy, and did not even ask whether I had reference photos of the line I wanted or anything like that. They just rattled things off on their own, then said, "You do not have any more questions, right?" and hurried out? Hmm; and the line they drew for me was just so-so too.. From the first consultation, they were saying I would need to do a lot more than I expected, so my head got complicatedㅠㅡㅠ
After the doctor consultation, the manager came back and explained the price and other details. Anyway, the cost was far above my limit... (which makes sense, because it included incision, fat removal, canthoplasty, and ptosis correction...) So my mood cooled off really fast.. Because this happened from the very first consultation, I got a little anxious, and worried it might be this expensive everywhere else too...
They said aftercare was possible within 1 year if I only paid the anesthesia fee, and that they would do swelling laser treatment when removing the stitches. And they said my skin was thick, so the swelling would last a long time. Sedation anesthesia and local anesthesia together. (This was the same at every clinic I consulted.)
And during the Q&A, I asked, "At my last face-wash before surgery, can I not put lotion on areas other than around the eyes..?" They laughed and said I was the first person to ask that I thought my skin might get dry.. like it would feel tight.. The conclusion was that it is for sterilization, so I cannot apply it after washing my face~
2) M.B. (Director B.M.O.)
- Consultation fee: none - Deposit: 100,000 won - Wait time: 5-10 minutes - Recommended: incision (in-out) + medial canthoplasty or incision (semi-out)
It was close to the first clinic I visited, so it was convenient to move there. They took photos before the consultation. I took off my mask, used a headband to push all my bangs back, and they took the picture, and honestly... it was so embarrassing. Bare face, no contacts, all-back hair, close-up photo... I could not even see myself, but even without seeing it, it was so funny.... I was constantly trying not to laugh. They took two shots, one with my eyes closed and one with them open.
The manager was extremely kind and friendly, and she did not say anything unnecessary, so I remember her very positively! I liked that all the surgery-related talk was strictly with the doctor. But at first, my close-up photo was displayed in the consultation room, so I was super embarrassed;; (But they did not really talk based on the photo, they talked while looking at my actual eyes.)
The doctor had slightly long hair tied back. So there was some kind of expert vibe.(I do not know why you should not judge by appearance though..) And this doctor told me I did not need ptosis correction at all, saying, "Really? This eye does not need it?" They spoke negatively about how nowadays so many places recommend ptosis correction even when people cannot really handle it. So my trust went up somehow It felt like they would not recommend unnecessary things?? The line I wanted was an in-out line where the front part of the line is clearly visible, and for that kind of line, they recommended either 1. incision in-out with medial canthoplasty, or 2. a slightly semi-out incision. They drew the line several times and it felt like they were just saying what needed to be said.
After the doctor consultation, I got the rest of the explanation from the manager. Aftercare was free within 1 year, sedation anesthesia + local anesthesia, surgery time within 1 hour, swelling injections on the day of surgery, and so on.. The basic details were similar to the other clinics.
The price was decent, and since they did not mention any review event, maybe there was no review event or something (though there could have been) The deposit was 100,000 won, and there was zero pressure to pay it. Comfortable.
Overall, both the manager and the doctor were kind, and I liked the doctor’s appropriate decisiveness? so I was torn with the clinic I eventually reserved at the end. Maybe because I had heard such a high price at the first consultation, hearing the price here made me feel at ease. (Of course cheap does not mean good, but it gave me peace of mind)
3) D.O.Y. (Director B.M.S.)
- Consultation fee: none - Deposit: 100,000 won - Wait time: 10 minutes - Recommended: incision + ptosis correction
This place uses an entire building. The building itself was very clean and nice. Each floor was neatly organized. I already knew from reviews that it was a factory-style clinic. The restroom was also very, very clean. But instead of a regular sofa, the waiting chairs were narrow single seats with partitions, packed tightly together, so it was kind of... very uncomfortableㅇㅅㅇ People who have been there will know what I mean. I went without choosing a doctor, but they recommended the doctor I had been leaning toward, so I had a consultation with that doctor.
When I went in to talk with the manager, she seemed very curious about which clinics I had already consulted, which ones I would consult next, what surgeries and prices those clinics had, and so on. I told her, but I wondered why she was so curious. I also wondered if it was okay to say that? Anyway, I answered everything, just a little vaguely
And when I told them that the first clinic recommended ptosis correction, but the second clinic did not recommend it, they showed before-and-after ptosis correction photos in a PPT and said it is better to do ptosis correction together with double eyelid surgery, that my eyes definitely needed ptosis correction, and so on.... The manager talked rather openly about surgery-related matters. They said my left side of the face was a little higher and I used the left muscles more, and so on... basically the same things I heard at the first clinic.
They said if I did not get ptosis correction, then I would just get a line on my current eyes, and that I needed ptosis correction for the black part of the eye to show better, and for my eyes to look bigger and clearer. That made me really confused. Then why did the second clinic not recommend it to me... why were they so negative, I thought But the manager here said that maybe that doctor at that clinic was bad at ptosis correction, when they heard the price too, they also said, "Our clinic is much cheaper than that clinic though?" That did not feel very good to hear. Maybe they sincerely meant it, but it felt too direct, like they were putting that clinic down.
In the doctor consultation, I showed photos of the line I wanted and the line I did not want, and had the consultation. This was the first time someone told me to take off my mask, so I did and consulted. They recommended incision + ptosis correction, and said medial canthoplasty could make my eyes look too close together, so they did not recommend it. When I said that the previous clinic had not recommended ptosis correction and that I thought they were being negative, the doctor looked slightly flustered and bewildered, laughed, and said they did not know the reason either. And when I said, "If I do not get medial canthoplasty, would the front part of the line look buried?" they said that could happen. (Huh) But they said it is better for the line to look buried than for the eyes to look too close together. Hmm. That is true, but... I already really hated buried-looking lines, and I did not really feel like they were trying to match the line I wanted as much as possible. The doctor’s personality itself was kind, though. Very straightforward tooㅇㅇ But the lines they drew all felt just so-so.. There was nothing that I really loved.
Back to the manager consultation.. they gave me the basic info and price like everywhere else. The price here was also okay! Right at my limit. The deposit was 100,000 won. There was a lot of pressure to pay the deposit, and even though the consultation was a bit ambiguous, I put down the deposit because I liked the after-photos.. And when I said I would not pay the deposit, they looked very shocked and said, then they could not give me this price?? Hmm.. They said to just put down the deposit first and keep looking around~ since it is all refundable anyway~ so.. right, it is a full refund anyway.. so I put it down.. If they had not pressured me, I would not have paid it.
>>But in the end, when I reserved another place and tried to get this deposit refunded, they asked if I had decided to do it somewhere else, and when I said yes, they asked where, and why I had decided on that place.. It was a little annoying I answered everything and hung up, but they called again and said, "Customer, do you happen to know when that clinic scheduled your surgery? As far as I know, that clinic is only operating until April and then closing.. I was worried " I had already booked for May and even paid the depositㅇㅅㅇ
------------------------------------ But the twist was.... they were right... About a month after I had the consultation, the clinic I had reserved suddenly called to say they were closing down because the representative doctor was ill.. I was seriously so dumbfounded.. Then why did they accept reservations at that time After putting in all that time and effort to visit clinics, I had to go through this all over again... I was so angry...
So began my second round of clinic visits.. Again I went all on Saturday. But the second round of visits had more people than the first round, even though it was Saturday!!!!! And the second round of visits did not have as much content as the first round, because once you experience it once, if the consultation does not feel right early on, you just hear it with one ear and let it out the other....
5) J.S.T. (Director G.G.R.)

At first, the manager was very kind, and I liked that they did not say anything about surgery at all!! They only briefly asked about the line I wanted and the surgery method, then straight to the doctor consultation!
I brought photos of the line I wanted and the line I did not want. For reference, the line I wanted was an in-out line with a clear line visible from the front, and I brought a photo of Irene’s eyes. For the line I did not want, I captured from a beauty app review a photo of eyes where the front line was covered, and eyes where the eyelid fat looked too heavy above the line!
The doctor was very kind and calm! They carefully checked my nostril width and the distance between my eyes while drawing the line. In the end, they said I could not make the line very large! If I made it too large, the heavy eyelid-fat look I dislike would become even stronger, and a smaller line would look more natural. They said some fat removal would probably be needed, and that if I wanted the exact look I wanted, I would need a forehead lift! And they said that after double eyelid surgery, people often stop using their eyebrows when opening their eyes, so after surgery the eyebrows would drop, and then the eyelid fat would naturally look heavier too! But I have absolutely no plans for a forehead lift, so... I wondered if I should just give up a little on my expectations Still, they said ptosis correction did not really seem necessary here!
In the manager consultation! They just gave the basic explanations like other places and said they would check progress at 1, 3, and 6 months, and the other details would be known once I actually had surgery, so I did not ask much about them.. It did not seem like it would differ much from the other clinics! They also had review events and same-day reservation discounts, but the review event required not just eye-only photos, but full-face photos, which they would then blur there... That was a bit off-putting. And the required number of times and photos was too much, so I was like, hmm? Then they said if I made the same-day reservation, they would give me the review-event price even without submitting photos. But I did not know why they needed full-face photos in the first placeㅇㅅㅇ
But anyway, since they said they could not do the line I wanted... I did not feel drawn to it The price was so-so~ It was also my first time having a consultation fee, so it felt a little... wasteful. Still, the doctor was not bad!
6) P (Director G.Y.S.)
- Consultation fee: none - Deposit: do not know - Wait time: 25 minutes (manager consultation was immediate, only the doctor consultation had a 25-minute wait) - Recommended: incision + medial upper canthoplasty, or 12-hole natural adhesion + medial upper canthoplasty
Here, the doctor I had originally chosen was supposed to finish surgery two hours later;;... I mean, then why accept reservations ㅡㅡ It was absurd. Anyway, so I consulted with the doctor they recommended here.
But this place was unusual in that the manager drew the line ㅇㅅㅇ They also talked about surgery at length with the manager... hmm The manager was kind, but... it felt a little huh? They said that with this structure, an Irene-style eye was impossible, and that ptosis correction probably would not be necessary, but they would need to consult the doctor to know for sure. And they strongly recommended 12-hole natural adhesion. This was the first place that recommended natural adhesion (because all the other places said I had too much eyelid fat and needed incision), so I could not tell if it was a genuine recommendation or sales talk.... They said the chance of incision loosening was 2-3%, and for 12-hole it was 5%. But if it ever did loosen and I had to have revision surgery, incision would be difficult to revise, while 12-hole would be much easier... but it felt too much like sales talk, so I did not like it And they were talking so deeply about surgery as a manager that I was taken aback. Ironically, I liked the line the manager drew more than the line the doctor drew.
In the doctor consultation.. they said there was no way to get a clear in-out line.... They were really firm, and it was like me and them were in a standoff: Would it not come out even if fat was removed? No, it would not. Would it not come out even if it was drawn as a slightly semi-out line? No, it would not. The current eye is best as an in-line. No. It will not come out.큐 I was really upset.. and the doctor said I also needed ptosis correction
Back in the manager consultation, when the manager asked how the consultation went, I said, hmm.. the line is.. too thin and it looks buried, hmm... They said they understood how disappointing that was, but because everyone’s eye structure is different, it is better to accept that and make the best choice possible for my eyes. They said accepting that is the hardest thing, but it is the top priority. I understand all that in my head... but at the original reserved clinic, they said it seemed possible to get enough line... I was just so frustrated and really wanted the doctor I had originally reserved... Of course I understand that different doctors have different opinions, but once I had heard someone say it was possible, the clinics that said it was not possible just naturally made me lose interest.
So I just half-listened to the prices and other explanations... I do not remember well, but 12-hole was cheaper than incision, and overall it did not seem that expensive, just so-so.
7) O.M.R.
I had reserved with the representative doctor here, but the wait was seriously... way too long. They said I would have to wait 2 hours. I had another clinic reservation 2 and a half hours later... and it was not even close by. So I just changed to Director K.H.J. and waited, but they said I would have to wait about 2 more hours for that doctor too. So sadly I just canceled and left The clinic I had reserved later was the one I was more excited about... (I should not have had expectations) The manager was kind. Even though they were busy, when I said I was canceling, they were very apologetic and stuffㅇㅇ... but what could I do, it must not have been meant to be for me.
8) N.S.H. (G.J.H.)

I do not have anything written down here... it ended too quickly and I disliked it too much.... Still, the few lines I did write were
"The line was too thin. They said an in-line was the maximum. The doctor has zero sincerity. Ha, I just do not like it."
.. I was so exhausted at this point.. I was already irritated because none of the clinics I visited that day had a line I liked... I thought about going back for a second consultation at M.B., where I went during my first round of clinic visits, but the second consultation fee was 30,000 won, and the timing did not work either.. I heard that they moved to O.R.T., so I persistently kept calling O.R.T. Until the third call, they kept saying there was no such doctor and they had not heard anything about it, but then they called me back and said they had been informed that Director S.D.S. would be coming this week Phew~ So I immediately booked a consultation here I want this to be over soon If it were up to me, I would like to just book surgery without another consultation, but since the clinic changed again... the price probably changed too, so I am a little worried I was worried O.R.T. might be too expensive because it is eye-specialized.. They do a lot of revision surgery here, but since this is first surgery, it should not be that expensive, right? I really only went for the doctor.. Searching far and wide for that doctor,
As someone who went to 7-8 places... my clinic-hunting tips are
1. I recommend bringing photos of both the line you want and the line you do not want! The line you want is important, but the feeling you do not want is even more important, so bringing both helps the doctor understand more intuitively!
2. State clearly and firmly what you want! If you are firm and precise, they will try to match it as much as possible, and the doctor will also tell you firmly whether it is possible or not! I do not recommend being vague or ambiguous!!
3. Adjust your consultation reservations flexibly! In my case, I went to a cafe or ate while waiting, but even then there was still time left? Then I would call nearby plastic surgery clinics I had looked into but had not included in my visit list, and ask if I could come in for a consultation right away! Or I would change the time of the clinic I had booked later! Some places can do it and some cannot, but when I made these spur-of-the-moment consultation visits, sometimes? I ended up liking them more than expected But this may be hard on weekends
