Then, while I was going to ㄱㄹㅂ Plastic Surgery for post-care after body contouring surgery, I became curious about nose surgery and suddenly ended up getting a consultation.
ㄱㄹㅂ Plastic Surgery - Director ㅈㅅㅍ First, I was told he is one of the co-representative directors and specializes in nose surgery and revision nose surgery. The hospital itself has many clients coming from overseas, and in my case, I went directly through another representative director, so I had the consultation right away without going through a consultant. It was a consultation I happened to get without any information, so I only listened to how a nose like mine would need to be operated on. There was no CT scan, and he mentioned the basic techniques for bulbous nose correction, such as ear cartilage for the nasal tip, silicone for the nasal bridge, cartilage repositioning, bulbous nose correction, and osteotomy if needed. There were no reviews or before-and-after photos, so I felt it would be risky to go just by what another director said, so I put it on hold..
Suddenly thinking I wanted nose surgery, I started searching online and visiting consultations lol
ㄷㅇㅇ Plastic Surgery (ㄷ ㅇ ㅏ ㅇ) - Director ㅈㅇㅇ I think this was the first hospital I went to after looking into various things. First, there wasn’t much waiting, the hospital was clean, there was no consultation fee, and the CT scan was free. I talked with the consultant first, and she was kind. We only talked about roughly what I wanted, but I came for a nose consultation and the first thing she brought up was the shortcomings of my eyes..? So I was like, huh..? They’re my precious eyes that had never been criticized before I got hurt
Anyway, the director came in and during the consultation he looked at the CT, drew pictures, and told me what angle would be pretty and about how high it should be. Since my septal cartilage is small, I was listening about doing the nasal tip with autologous costal cartilage, silicone for the nasal bridge, and bulbous nose correction, but then he said I needed paranasal augmentation surgery. Here I was like, huh....??? again. I had only studied nose surgery and materials, and this was my first time hearing about paranasal augmentation surgery. Anyway, he said I had to do paranasal augmentation with autologous costal cartilage. He said it was essential. Then he asked if I had any questions and left. Afterward, the consultant gave me an estimate for autologous costal cartilage for the nasal bridge, silicone, and customized silicone.
Both the director and the consultant had a speed and vibe that felt hard for me to keep up with, and I didn’t feel that confidence..? that I saw in other reviews. They seemed busy. The estimate was expensive, maybe because autologous costal cartilage had to be used.. Maybe because I saw them on YouTube and went in with high expectations, or maybe consultations are originally like this, but I just ended up feeling bad ㅋㅋㅌㅋㅋㅋ
