I had developed lateral cheekbones and 45-degree cheekbones, and my face was on the long side, so in a way I always thought I had the kind of face that would fail even with facial contouring surgery. Because my cheekbones were prominent, my face looked sunken from the front, and my 45-degree cheekbones were also prominent, so I was always dissatisfied whenever I took side-profile photos
After going for consultations at many hospitals, I had the 3 types of facial contouring surgery at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, not a plastic surgery clinic, on December 8 of last year haha
I posted a review around January covering the day of surgery through week 3, and it’s already month 3 now haha I’ll tell you really honestly how I felt from 1 month to 3 months after surgery!
1. Month 1: The swelling had gone down a lot compared to week 2, but I think about... 50% still remained. The cheekbone area had already gone down a lot, and I could feel the lower face gradually changing~ My jawline started to show little by little, and as time passed, the lower facial contour gradually came out haha But from the front, swelling still remained, so when I looked in the mirror from time to time, I realized again that the swelling was still there
2. Month 2: Rather than swelling going down a lot in one specific area, I felt that overall my face had become much slimmer compared to month 1 haha When I look at other facial contouring surgery reviews, even photos just 1 month after surgery look almost complete, but that wasn’t the case for me I didn’t have any other major discomfort, but because the muscles of the lower face felt tightly bound, there was a strong pulling sensation. Other than that, the sideburn-area scars also faded, the intraoral incision sites all healed, and there was no major discomfort haha
3. Month 3: From this point on, I think you could say there was almost no visibly noticeable swelling haha People around me also said all the swelling was gone, and because my cheekbones became much smaller and my facial line and lower face became slimmer, I was satisfied too. People around me also told me the surgery seemed to have gone well, so I feel proud haha The pulling sensation in the lower face is still there. Maybe sensation in my lower face is slowly coming back, because it feels prickly and a little numb haha As you can see in the photos above, even without Photoshop, unlike before, my lines look more refined and my face seems much smaller, so I like it haha
Honestly, before surgery I thought a lot about wanting everything shaved down as much as possible overall, completely like a doll, but looking back now, I think I got the result I wanted without side effects, so I’m thankful to the doctor haha Then I’ll come back with another review at month 6!
