Eye Surgery Reviews

Clinic Visit Review

I had revision surgery in Seoul with incisional ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty. I’m very satisfied with the line now, but the outer end of my right eye looks droopy, so while looking into it, I realized I’m someone who needs a forehead lift. But I still thought maybe the ptosis correction on that side might have been done a little less, so I went for consultations just to look into that.

1. ㅌㅇㄹ-ㅌㅇㅎ Consultation fee: none :They told me not to do more ptosis correction because the double eyelid would get thinner and the tail of my eyebrow would droop more. They said my eyes look different now because the tail of the eyebrow is lower, and during surgery they would lift this side a bit more. Then the way both eyes open would become similar. But they said my case is not severe, and that this degree is on the easier side. They also said that if I do it, my eyes may stay slightly open while sleeping, and they even took photos of my eyes themselves and explained how much they might stay open. I asked because I felt my epicanthoplasty may have been opened quite a lot, and they said it does make my impression look a bit strong, so restoration could be okay. But they didn’t pressure me about either the lift or epicanthoplasty restoration.

2. ㄱㄹㅇㅅㅇㅇㅇ-ㅊㅁㅅ Consultation fee: none :They said there’s no need for ptosis correction, and even if I did it, the result would be about the same. They said they wouldn’t want me to do ptosis correction, but rather, they wouldn’t stop me from doing epicanthoplasty restoration, and that for my eyes, restoring just a little would probably be enough. And I asked just in case about lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty, but they said they do not recommend either.

3. ㅍㅇ-ㅇㅇㅎ Consultation fee: none :They said there’s no real need to do epicanthoplasty restoration to that extent, no further ptosis correction is needed, and not to do lateral canthoplasty either. They actually advised me against them. They said it might be better to just slightly raise only the outer end of the right double eyelid, but they also said it didn’t look like I really needed to do anything and advised me against it.

Anyway, I clearly learned that my right outer eye corner looking droopy and a bit sleepy isn’t a ptosis correction issue, but an issue with the tail of my eyebrow, so I’m planning to get an endoscopic forehead lift next year. I’ve only been to one lift clinic, so I’m going to look into it a little more before doing it. Anyway, I felt like all the clinics I went to were honest, so I’m leaving this!
