I’ve now chosen a hospital from these and already finished my nose surgery hehe. Later, when the swelling goes down a bit more, I’ll come back to post a before-and-after review.
First, I’m someone who has entered my 30s, and my nose is small but has a bit of a bulbous nose tendency, so my complex was that overall my face looked too young. That’s why I decided to get nose surgery.. And I thought my skin was on the thin side, so at first I was really worried. Things like, what if they say I can’t put in silicone?? I even considered dermis as a material.. lol
So since I finally went to the long-awaited consultations, I’ll leave a short consultation-visit review.

ㅂㄴㄴ/photo taking O-iPad/CT X (they say they’ll take one if requested) They said absolutely not to do alar base reduction. These days people think that if it’s a bulbous nose, everyone needs alar base reduction, but that’s not the case; they said diagnosis has to consider skin thickness, how firm the skin is, and all those things. Because my nose is small and my bulbous nose isn’t severe, they said I don’t need alar base reduction.. Instead, because my nose is small, the length needs to be extended, and for that they said a looot of septal cartilage is needed. But after palpating mine, they said it seems like I don’t have enough septal cartilage, so there’s a high chance costal cartilage will be used. They looked at the photos taken on the iPad and checked the design while drawing on them, and I liked it. I’ll have to wait for the swelling to go down more, but I have a feeling it’ll become something similar, yeah. And because my columella is a bit descended, they’ll correct that too, and they reviewed the design while talking about the forehead starting line and the nasolabial angle too! Total time at the hospital was about 1 hour, anesthesia was sedation. They told me about things like discount benefits, and I remember they mainly talked about same-day booking. There were various aftercare services like swelling laser, swelling injections, scar-tissue injections, sebum care, etc., and AS is 1 year.

When I brought up alar base reduction, they also told me here that I didn’t need it, and since alar base reduction is hard to fix once it’s done, the conclusion was to first try without it, and if it still isn’t corrected, then we’ll talk about it again~ I waited a bit long, but the director’s consultation was so detailed that it was fine lol When he came in, he explained everything about the materials from A to Z and recommended what I should use. As he checked my nose line and lifted it like this, he said because the length is short there’s not enough support~ something like that, and said I should use costal cartilage. Total time at the hospital was about 1 hour 40 minutes, anesthesia was sedation. They said a discount would apply if I decided that day. They said they would provide swelling laser, swelling injections, and 3 scar-tissue injections, and AS is 1 year, but if it’s the hospital’s fault it’s free, and if it’s dissatisfaction with my design, a fee is charged (probably material fees or anesthesia fees, things like that, right?)
