Before <before surgery> After <1 month> After <2 months> After <photo comparing before and after surgery> It was my first surgery, so I had it done with the buried-suture method, and I also had ptosis correction and epicanthoplasty together.
In the pre-surgery photo, I’m opening my eyes a bit wide, so it looks that way, but normally my eyes look very dull and sleepy. After going to consultations, most places recommended that I do ptosis correction too, and I also felt that without ptosis correction, this particular dazed look in my eyes wouldn’t improve, so I got it together.
When I look at other people’s reviews, they often only upload photos with their lashes curled hard and lenses in.. But I’m posting purely because I want to know if my eyes look okay, so I’m intentionally posting without makeup (to be honest, I’m not very good at it either.. it feels awkward).
I thought a double-eyelid line that was too high wouldn’t suit me, so I went with an in-out line as the doctor recommended. Since I was getting epicanthoplasty too, I wondered if it might end up looking like a semi-out line, but I was told it would be okay because they would carefully design and open it so my eyes wouldn’t look too close together. But after surgery, I think I understand exactly what that meant. My eyes do look more open and refreshed than before, but they weren’t opened excessively, so they’re settling in well without looking awkward.
Since it was my first cosmetic surgery, I was worried about recovery and swelling, but I think the swelling went down faster than I expected. I didn’t do anything special.. walking was all I did. I didn’t drink swelling tea or pumpkin juice or anything like that. I don’t like drinking those anyway. Dr. Kwak at Louvre, who did my surgery, said walking helps much more, and after trying it myself, I think he was right.
After ptosis correction, it feels much easier to open my eyes, and people around me often say my features look more defined, so I’m feeling relieved. But now it’s been three months, and I like the line exactly as it is now. When I searched, I saw that swelling from double eyelids can continue to go down slowly for up to six months, so is there a chance my line could get lower than it is now?
Seeing that there wasn’t a big change between one month and two months, I do think it’ll probably settle well like this, but I really like how it is now because it’s neither too much nor too natural. I wish it would stop here.. haha
Before, even with makeup, my eyes looked small and cramped, so I didn’t want to do makeup, but now that my double eyelids are more defined, I’m going to find makeup styles that suit my eye shape and take better care of myself. I hope everyone here also finds a double-eyelid line that suits them and has successful eye surgery!
