Living my whole life with 0.1 vision, I only wore glasses when I needed to see details, like driving or watching TV, and just stubbornly got by. Then people around me started getting LASIK or LASEK one by one, so I gathered my courage and went for a consultation. The cost and the doctor were both really to my liking, so I had the surgery. I’m the type who gets really scared, so I was extremely nervous. The surgery was unexpectedly simple, but I was an idiot for believing my acquaintance who said it didn’t hurt at all. On the first day, when the anesthesia wore off, seriously, I can’t forget that pain, like blunt-ended chopsticks heated over fire slowly pushing into my eyeballs. How can anyone say that pain doesn’t hurt? But anyway, 8 years have passed, and after surgery my vision came out to 1.3, and even now I’m maintaining strong 1.0 vision. The glare seems unavoidable, but it’s true that it has gradually decreased
