Eye Surgery Considerations

Had cheekbone reduction at a clinic last year! I’ll take questions!

I had it done at a clinic I was aiming for a natural look. I only had my cheekbones done. Even when I went to consultations elsewhere, they either recommended only cheekbone reduction, or at places with a more dramatic style, they said that if I wanted, I could also do the square jaw. My cheekbones were really big. The swelling: after 2 weeks, I was still swollen, but it was enough that I could meet friends who are not very observant and do not know my face in detail. Pain: on the day of surgery, aside from a headache because of the anesthesia, there was almost none. I was careful opening my mouth, but there was no period where I could only drink juice or anything like that. I did not get straight-line cheekbones. But I do have a very slight square jaw, so if I had shaved more, it might have looked strange. I originally had slight nasolabial folds, but they do not seem to have gotten worse. I am not sure if there was sagging. Since I do not really feel any, I guess it did not sag? My cheek hollowing actually went away. I talked about this during the consultation before. They said they would release the ligaments that cause cheek hollowing and lay fat underneath.

I looked in the mirror diligently until the 1-month mark, then forgot about it and lived normally. Around 3-4 months later, I suddenly thought, oh, my face is slim now lol. It seems like the swelling went down even more after that.

The director and consultant were really kind. They were kind even after surgery.

They say the scar is at the sideburn area, but to my eyes it is almost invisible. There is also one inside the mouth, but of course it cannot be seen.
