I got a consultation because the feel is too firm and tight, so I’m thinking of getting revision surgery My first surgery was done with teardrop implants
At Glam, they didn’t say much about capsule removal, they just said it was because my tissue/skin type is naturally really firm and tight ( The consultant touched it and kept saying my tissue was really firm and tight lol ) They said that even if I probably replace the implants and have revision surgery, there won’t be a dramatic change in how they feel The consultant said she honestly doesn’t strongly recommend revision surgery, and that if I want to do it, I should think of it as mainly for refining the line and replacing the implants They didn’t say it was capsular contracture either ( they also checked with ultrasound )
But at MD, they said the capsule had thickened, that it’s capsular contracture and that the capsule all needs to be removed They said it’s not firm because of my tissue type, but because of capsular contracture? The diagnosis was so different from Glam that I was flustered
So I honestly said that at another hospital, they didn’t really say much about capsule removal, and they said the capsule absolutely has to be removed. But if it had been soft at first and then became hard, I would’ve thought it was strange too, but it was kind of firm and tight from the beginning lol
They’re both completely opposite, so I’m confused lol
