It’s already been about a month and a half since my nose surgery!! lol. Before surgery, I searched through tons of reviews and worried a lot about swelling and pain, but after actually doing it, recovery seemed easier than I expected! My swelling wasn’t particularly severe from the beginning!! Unlike what I had seen in other people’s reviews, my eyes didn’t swell dramatically, and my face didn’t become unrecognizable. Before surgery, I had read reviews saying people were in so much pain after nose surgery that they couldn’t sleep properly for several days, so I had mentally prepared myself to some extent lol. But after surgery, rather than pain, I felt more like my nose was heavy and slightly tight. At first, they put cotton in your nose, right? So it felt stuffy and uncomfortable because I couldn’t live as normally as usual T_T. But the hardest part was something else: the itchiness in my nose... It drove me crazy in a subtle way lol. Pain can be endured if you just wait it out, but there’s really nothing you can do about itching T_T. The tip of my nose and inside my nostrils itched alternately, but I couldn’t scratch them, and I was afraid I might cause a problem if I touched them, so I could barely put my hands near them. I could definitely feel the nose line changing little by little over time. When I first removed the splint and looked, it felt slightly different from what I had imagined, so it was a little unfamiliar. My nose was definitely higher, but overall it felt like the nose was the only thing drawing attention lol. But after two weeks, and then three weeks, it gradually changed. The side profile became much more natural than at first, and that is what I like most. The front view also feels more refined little by little. I couldn’t tell much when looking in the mirror every day, but when comparing it with before, there was a subtle difference. Thinking about it, from the consultation onward, what I wanted was not necessarily a very high nose, but a natural line that suited my face. That was the most important point during my consultation with the doctor, and I liked that they explained the difference between the look I wanted and what was actually possible. Rather than saying I could have exactly whatever I wanted, the doctor explained things according to the condition of my nose, which made me trust them more. Looking at the line now, it seems to match the direction the doctor explained during the consultation, so I’m satisfied with that too, haha. After surgery, more things than I expected were inconvenient in daily life T_T. I was careful when washing my face because I was afraid of touching my nose, and I worried that my clothes might catch on it when changing lol. Even while sleeping, I was very conscious of my position at first because I was afraid I might unconsciously turn onto my side. Actions I normally did without thinking suddenly felt delicate after surgery. Still, these inconveniences have gradually decreased with time, and now I don’t think I spend all day worrying about my nose like I did at first. Before surgery, I had all kinds of thoughts, such as what if I didn’t like the shape or what if complications developed, but fortunately everything has gone smoothly so far. It’s fine even now, but I’m looking forward to seeing whether it can become even more natural, haha.
