I’m a complete beginner for all surgeries.. At first, I looked into cheekbone reduction, medial epicanthoplasty, and breast augmentation. When I was searching, I didn’t even know what was what, so I looked at a lot of events. I really hate pain, but if I split them up I’d have to be in pain multiple times, so I decided to just do everything at once while I was at it. At first I made a reservation to go to ㄱㄹ, but I didn’t see an event for medial epicanthoplasty, so I just booked somewhere else for the next day and went to ㅇㅇㄷ. But later, as I was going, I looked up reviews for ㅇㅇㄷ, and they were all kind of like people avoid it…? and there weren’t that many reviews, so I suddenly got scared… Since it’s a large clinic, the building was huge. At first I checked in on the 14th floor and took CT images (I had filled out the preliminary chart the day before, so I didn’t wait long!!) Then I went down one floor to the 13th floor for consultation. When I read reviews of other clinics, people said the consultant was bad and there was pressure to pay a deposit and stuff, so I was a bit nervous, but they were very kind.
First, Director ㅇㅅㅈ came for the cheekbone consultation. Since I was initially only thinking about cheekbones, he said I could just do that, but later my jaw could stand out and bother me, so it would be good to do them together. He said my head size is average or slightly smaller, but my cheekbones and square jaw protrude a lot, so doing both together would show a huge effect. He said my chin tip is thin, so not to do it. For the square jaw, he asked whether I wanted natural or dramatic, and when I said natural, he said it would become like Winter? and explained by drawing the line, but I was surprised because it was shaved down more than I expected. I asked about sagging, and he said because I’m young that wouldn’t happen, and I think the consultation ended there. He was very gentle and kind!! His words felt very trustworthy, so as soon as I met that director, I felt sure this was the place. After the director left, they said the director told the consultant that I would see a huge effect and that he wanted to ask me to model, so that made me even more excited for no reason…
Next, eye Director ㅇㅁㅇ came! My eyes are large, but the distance between my eyes is a bit wider than average, my double eyelids are too small (not inner double eyelids, but the next small size..?), and my eyes are uneven. I said I wanted only a slight medial epicanthoplasty and wanted my double eyelids to become bigger, so we decided on a semi-out? feeling with buried suture? non-incisional? method. He said with non-incisional it can come undone, and partial incision holds the line a bit better? so it doesn’t come undone easily. While pinching the double eyelid, he saw that it didn’t immediately come undone and said non-incisional would be fine, so let’s do that. When I open my eyes, my forehead wrinkles, and even though I got Botox my eyebrows still move, so he talked about something or other, but I don’t remember well. Is this also included in ptosis correction? The eye director was also kind, but I didn’t really feel convinced.
Lastly, breasts!! Director ㅂㅇㅎ Motiva was 10.5 million won and Mentor Boost was 8 million won. The two felt similar, and Motiva has been around for a long time, but Mentor Boost came out last year, and the director said he uses it a lot, so I said okay. For size, he said 355 and 330 would give a full D. Since I’m tall and have a bigger frame, he said an E cup would also be okay, but when I saw photos it seemed way too much. But I’ve heard people say to go as big as possible when doing it, so I was a bit torn. The incision is inframammary!! The breast director was also kind, but breast surgery is very expensive and I wasn’t fully convinced But they said it will go up again next year, so I felt like I should do it… They said 2 years ago Motiva was 6 million won…
After seeing all the directors, I talked prices with the consultant. Eyes were a three-item event, 1,000,000 + 100,000 VAT. Square jaw and cheekbones were 6,000,000 + 600,000. Breasts were 8,000,000 + 800,000. With the review event, they removed the VAT for eyes and jaw/cheekbones, so the total came out to 15,800,000.. They asked for a 500,000-won deposit. Oh, anesthesia is general anesthesia!!
Including the anesthesiology director, a total of 4 doctors go in at once, so the earliest available date was the 17th. I booked the 17th, and because it was annoying to come back for blood tests, I did them right away that day. After all the consultations, an hour and a half had passed.
They did all sorts of tests, and when they did an ultrasound for breast cancer screening, the director? teacher? didn’t look good They kept pausing.. They said there is a lump in my breast, about 1.5 cm? But there’s another one somewhere else, 1.8? On the opposite side there were also 1.2 and 0.5. They said it could be removed together before breast surgery, that it commonly happens even in young women, and spoke as if it was very simple, so I thought maybe it was no big deal. They said there is an incision method and a method where they suction it out with something like a needle, but because one is right next to the nipple, it could touch the mammary gland? or nerve tissues, so they can’t remove all of it. They said I could consult the consultant again about the cost. After finishing all the tests, about 2 more hours had passed? The consultant said the cost for lump removal alone was 6,400,000. They had talked as if it was nothing, so I thought it would be a few hundred thousand won, but I was shocked. They said private medical insurance could cover it and asked if I had insurance. It had felt like nothing, but suddenly it felt serious, so I asked them to leave out the breast surgery for now and said I’d think about it, then left. As soon as I left the hospital, I got scared and called my mom crying on the street.... I decided to go to a university hospital for lump removal… I was talking with my mom, and then a KakaoTalk message came. The consultant asked whether I had private insurance, and said that if I did it together, the team manager would remove the VAT and do the implants for 8,000,000, but I just said I wouldn’t do breast surgery. If the lump is removed after breast augmentation, the implant could rupture, and if the lump is removed, it won’t form again in that spot, but it can form in another spot. Turns out my mom had also had surgery to remove one before, but it came back, she said.
Because of the breast lumps, I suddenly got hit really hard mentally.. so I asked them to postpone the surgery too…
