The black bruising that showed on the day got pretty severe afterward, but it disappeared quickly. The bruising in my eyes also went away a lot.
I did cold compresses until day 3 and started warm compresses from day 4. And on day 5, I went to get the stitches removed! When I went to get the stitches removed, I briefly met the director, and he said I was the type who didn’t swell much. People who saw that I got double eyelid surgery also said that even though it was incisional, I had very little swelling, and that the line was really neat and pretty.
Yeah, proud proud! I got excited for no reason and promoted the clinic. I was so happy that my first double eyelid surgery turned out this well.
I’m saying this in case anyone is curious. I only went to consultations at 2 places total, but originally I was going to look at just one place and go straight there. (For some reason I was drawn to that clinic) Then my mom’s friend said her daughter got double eyelid surgery and lower outer canthoplasty at this place (the clinic I went to), and told me to go there too.
Honestly, it was f***ing annoying, you know? That would mean I’d have to make another appointment date at this clinic too and come in. I wanted to get it done as soon as possible... So I thought, fine, let’s at least go once, and I went.
But compared to the first place I went to, they explained things really well even without me asking. Just small things, like what kind of anesthesia would be used for the surgery, about how long it would take, things like that. The first place I went didn’t tell me anything, damn...(Of course, I didn’t even think to ask either)
I came home like that and thought it over with my mom, then just decided to go here. I went to consultations in April and scheduled the surgery date for the beginning of this month.
I wasn’t nervous or anything and just went in thinking, whatever happens happens, but huh? lol It turned out well? lol lolololololol
I chose an in-out line. They said the skin would sag later, so I made it higher than a regular inline line, and I didn’t have any trouble closing my eyes or anything.
They said my eye-opening strength is strong, but I have so much fat that my eyes look like fake ptosis, so I only did the incisional method. Before double eyelid surgery, I wanted lower outer canthoplasty too, but now lol I’m like, not really?
Everyone, even if you want lower outer canthoplasty, decide after getting double eyelid surgery first. I hope the swelling goes down more quickly. ㅠ
