A Review of My Breast Surgery That Went Terribly Wrong

In my early 20s, I had small breasts, so I really, really wanted breast augmentation.. At the time, it was the hospital where a friend around me had surgery, so I didn’t go to several places for consultations and just went to one place, had a consultation, and decided on surgery..(truly a huge mistake on my part) I think it was around the time Motiva first started coming out, and since I wanted to get the best option for my first surgery, I chose Motiva with a transaxillary incision. But after surgery, the feel only got worse and worse as time passed, and they were hard.. The shape was like rice bowls too. The hospital said it was fine and that I just needed to wait without touching them, even after a year had passed. I separately got a breast MRI at a radiology center, and they said the capsule had indeed thickened, so I received a diagnosis letter for capsular contracture and went to the plastic surgery hospital where I had the surgery. Only then did the hospital say they had an MRI machine too and ask why I went to another hospital, and told me to have revision surgery and remove the capsule (until then, they had never acknowledged it was contracture and had never even mentioned an MRI). When I asked them to change the implants too, they said no, so I remember even calling the Motiva quality warranty center? In the end, they said they would redo it with new implants, but that they would charge half the anesthesia fee, asking for 3.5 million won. What kind of cost is that if they’re only charging anesthesia.. And since the capsule had to be removed, they said a transaxillary incision was absolutely not possible, and only a periareolar incision or inframammary incision could be done. Of course I was going to choose the inframammary incision, but they kept pushing the periareolar incision (I think because it would be easier to see the capsule). The consultant also said she had surgery with a periareolar incision and it actually didn’t show, and that there was no scar at all, so I kept hearing that and chose a periareolar incision and had the surgery. Conclusion: I got an enormous scar and contracture again. I was still unmarried and in my early-to-mid 20s, so it caused me tremendous emotional pain and distress The hospital insisted that the scar would get better with time and that it wasn’t contracture, but aside from the feel, I was suffering from stress every single day because of the scar, so I went to a hospital specializing in scar removal and paid 6 million won for scar removal surgery. It’s not perfect, but it improved so much compared to before. And after some time passed, another hospital successfully fixed my breasts that had developed contracture through a transaxillary incision. The feel is better than anyone’s. The previous hospital said the contracture was just due to my constitution, so I didn’t even have expectations, but seeing the surgery succeed right away at another hospital, it wasn’t because of my constitution either!!!!! I’ve had many surgeries and some failed ones too, but this is my breast surgery review about the one that caused me more stress and emotional suffering than anything else
