First surgery - in-out double eyelid + ptosis correction Back then, the atmosphere was that everyone got ptosis correction together when doing double eyelid surgery, so I just did it too.. but there was no effect at all. I’m not even sure if it was done properly, so The line was done as in-out, but at first there was only severe swelling, and as the swelling gradually went down, it became an inline. So I went around for revision surgery consultations.
*Jaㅇㅈㅇ Incision + fat removal (slight) They said that since my skin is thick and I also have a lot of fat, the line got buried. Fat removal is not optional but necessary. But they said there’s no need to remove a lot, just a little. Since we don’t really know what “a little” means.. it was a bit vague, but the director said they would not overdo it. They set the line as in-out, and said that if I wanted the line higher than this, more fat removal would be needed, but they did not recommend it because it might look like sausage eyelids. They said they would set the more precise line again on the day of surgery. The consultation lasted about 20 minutes. They said sutures would be removed on day 7, and they would do a swelling laser then.
*Minㅌ Buried suture method This was the only place that said even with the buried suture method, they could sufficiently fix the sagging eyelid skin. Since it is a revision surgery, I did feel half drawn to a non-incisional method, and half wondering, will it be okay? The director had a very firm style and only said what they wanted to say.. So if I didn’t ask questions, the consultation felt a bit choppy, but they also didn’t excessively recommend other surgeries, and they answered my questions professionally, so it was fine. The director also said that an in-out line would be the most ideal line. They did recommend ptosis correction again, but said that since I hadn’t seen an effect, I didn’t have to do it if I didn’t want to. I also liked that the consultant gave a comfortable consultation without pressuring me to make a reservation. It seemed to end in about 15 minutes. But this place.. seems like many people go there for noses.
*Olㄹ Incision Because I have eye fat, they recommended surgery by incision while raising the overall line. They said it would be difficult to achieve this kind of improvement with a non-incisional method. They had me close and open my eyes several times and also told me what habit I have when opening my eyes normally. In this part, I felt they examined things very carefully. They said my eyes themselves are not particularly protruding, but because I usually open my eyes using eyebrow strength, the eyebrow muscle area looks protruded. For eyes like this, if canthoplasty is done too aggressively, it can easily look too much, so even if I were to get canthoplasty at another hospital, they recommended not doing it excessively. Here too, the consultant counseled me without overdoing it. There was basically no reservation push? They just told me to contact them comfortably. I think the consultation lasted about 30 minutes. They said sutures would be removed on day 7, and they would do swelling laser, bruise laser, and so on.
What I felt while going around for revision surgery consultations this time is that everyone.. I recommend succeeding as much as possible on the first surgery.. (Of course, I know that’s not something you can control.. haha) Revision surgery has extra costs, and even though it’s not something I did wrong, hearing consultations can make you feel unfair for no reason(?)
