-Why I chose this place Picotoning is something that works better when you get multiple sessions, and I had already bought a 10-session package at a clinic near Gangnam Station, but Gangnam is too far + Myeongdong is right in front of my office + Myeongdong is cheaper + I wanted to save the more expensive 10 Gangnam Station sessions, so for those reasons I bought 2 sessions in Myeongdong.
-Price games The trial price for 1 session of picotoning at Ppeum Myeongdong was 29,000 won. The Ppeum near my house is 59,000, and since 29,000 seemed like there was nothing to lose for a simple procedure, I visited. But when I actually had the consultation, they said the 1-session trial price is 29,000, but a 2-session + moisturizing mask package is 55,000, right?? The 1 session does not even include a mask, so there was no reason not to do 2 sessions, so I bought 2 sessions. But I ended up regretting it after just 1 session.
-Review This is the worst factory-style dermatology clinic I have ever been to. I only came because it was cheap and near my office. No matter how close to work and cheap it is, I will never come again -_-
1. I saw the cleaning lady diligently wiping around the sink with the towel used to dry your face after washing.
2. Usually you get laser treatment sitting in one of those leather chairs... the kind that reclines back when you sit, right..? They told me to lie down on a really tiny bed covered with fabric that was a party of lint + hair + unknown black powder, and I had a reality check like, damn, do I really have to lie here? The laser room was also a tiny, cramped room that did not even feel like a laser room.
3. The system is awful. They told me to wash my face and wait, so I waited for ages with nothing on my face, feeling my face getting dry, but no one called me. After holding out and holding out, I grabbed a staff member and asked, and it was some Southeast Asian staff member, maybe Thai or something, who could not even speak Korean. "What is your name?" "Hong Gil-dong (alias)." "Hong Gil-dong?" (I flinched a bit here... why are you speaking so casually to me..?) While saying that, they were tapping away on something like a Galaxy Tab. They told me to wait again, and only after a long while did I get the laser. Overall, the staff were clueless, and compared with other places, the system was not organized or quick. Ah, the staff sitting at the counter seemed experienced. The woman who did the consultation too. It was just all the staff walking around near the treatment rooms who were strange.
4. The doctor's poor laser skills When I have had toning laser before, the device has never touched my face, but throughout this laser treatment, it kept touching me... several times. Even if it touches, it is not a huge problem, but it means they lack that much experience... The procedure time was ridiculously short too. I do not think they even did 5 minutes more, seriously. I put up with it because the price was cheap.
5. I saw an inexperienced doctor demonstrating the laser to and learning from a doctor who seemed experienced. Isn't that kind of thing usually done at a seminar or something (I don't really know), anyway in another place..?
I don't know. Maybe because I just hated everything, everything looked problematic. Anyway, I am never going here again.
Factory-style clinics can be good too, everyone, but I hope you go to a reasonably decent factory-style clinic. Don't suffer like I did ^_ㅠ
