Hehe, today I received 400 shots of Ultherapy, 600 shots of Thermage, 450 shots of eye Thermage, skin Botox (concern about forehead volume), and 4 cc of Juvelook under sleep anesthesia.

1. Clinic review The main factors I considered when choosing a clinic were:
ㅁ Sleep anesthesia required, and an anesthesiologist specializing in sleep anesthesia required
ㅁ The procedure must be performed by a dermatologist : I completely ruled out the possibility of being treated by a general practitioner or a plastic surgeon; all were dermatologists
ㅁ It had to be possible to receive Thermage together when getting Ultherapy
ㅁ Skin Botox and skin boosting, including everything I wanted, had to be available
+ In addition to this, I also looked at the size of the clinic, though it was not a major factor. Actually, there are many reviews saying small clinics are good, probably because people think they can be treated by the head director. But I prefer places with a proper system in place, so I liked a larger clinic.
If I had found out through personal connections, I probably would have gone to a clinic known for skill, where celebrities go. But I am not that kind of person ^_T I do not have those connections.. And as you can tell from reading above, I am extremely suspicious. I do not trust reviews easily.
2. Doctor review
I liked that the consultation was thorough. Honestly, the reason I hesitated even after booking the dermatology appointment was that I had seen many reviews here and elsewhere saying the doctors gave only rough explanations, did not check properly, and went straight into the procedure, which was disappointing. But the doctor kindly explained everything: Ultherapy, Thermage, Juvelook, Juvelook Volume, Rejuran, and even skin Botox, which I did not know much about.
I went in thinking I would just get Ultherapy and Thermage on the neck too as a sort of insurance, but the doctor did not recommend neck treatment for either one. Instead, they designed Ultherapy for the midface aging areas without causing cheek hollowing, recommending 300 shots, and said I could consider 100 shots if I wanted the upper area done. For Thermage, they said because my age is in an in-between range, 300 shots would be fine if I just wanted to try it once, but if I wanted to live looking pulled up for a year, I should do 600 shots, so I chose 600 shots. And they were honest. They said instead of aging 10 years, it would be like aging 3 years.
Actually, the reason I think I met a good doctor is not because of Ultherapy or Thermage, since it is not yet time to see their effects... it is because of the skin Botox. My forehead volume had sunken a lot, and the cause really was that I open my eyes using my forehead muscles. Because of my job, procedures like ptosis correction are a disadvantage, and I also did not want my face to change from surgery, so I had been living with the hollowing since my mid-20s. I really disliked the possible side effects of fillers or fat grafting. I saw an effect, but I will write about it in the skin Botox post.
3. Consultation with the manager and cost review
The manager was also kind. I booked in March for an April appointment, and they said they would proceed at the March price. I glanced at the monitor next to me, and I saw eye Ultherapy and eye Thermage, which had not come up during the doctor’s consultation earlier, so I said I wanted to do them together.
To be honest, I did not know what eye Ultherapy and eye Thermage were. So I asked the manager, and they told me that the same tip cannot be applied to the eyes, so the eye area is done separately. I had thought Ultherapy and Thermage were applied to the whole face altogether, so I asked, oh, then could you do them together? But they said I probably would not need eye Ultherapy, so for now I only proceeded with eye Thermage.
Ultherapy 400 + Thermage 600: 3 million won >> after the price increase, 3.49 million won That is what they said, but since tax is excluded, it is probably 3.3 million won. So I do not know the exact price per Ultherapy shot ;-; I estimate Ultherapy is probably 1.2 million won and Thermage 600 is realistically about 1.8 million won.
4. Day 0 Ultherapy 400-shot review I am leaving it as photos. I am very swollen.
They said the Ultherapy tip is used multiple times, and they said they would return the Thermage tip to me, so I kept it. I do not know whether recycling happens, but I thought that if I take it with me, at least the chance of a recycled tip being used would decrease.
5. Aftercare As in the photos, I had some bruising, so they did a laser treatment to remove the bruise marks, and gave me steroid cream and a prescription. They also gave me dermatology-brand cosmetics, and items related to authentic certification for Ultherapy and Thermage. It seemed like they would keep giving me IV fluids for recovery after sleep anesthesia if I wanted, but I left early because of my schedule.
