This is my review of implant-free rhinoplasty for a hump nose. It’s been about 3 months since I had the surgery, and they say rhinoplasty swelling is usually assessed in broad intervals of 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. It has already been 3 months, and there’s no skin tightness, and I feel like the tissue has softened a lot. I had it done without an implant, and at first I wondered, is the nasal tip too high? Will this really come down? When will the swelling go down, and when will it look natural? But time really does seem to be the medicine haha
I had it done without an implant, and compared with other people, I had much less swelling, but since I went straight back into daily life, I think I reacted more sensitively to it As the nasal tip swelling gradually settles, it seems to be looking more natural, and I think it’s true that you need to watch surgical swelling for a long time. Still, the swelling has not completely gone down, so when I touch my nose or sometimes my eyes feel slightly more intense, but I’m so satisfied with the line and shape haha
There isn’t anything that bothers me much, and some people say there is something called scar tissue, but I don’t have that either, so I haven’t really had any discomfort after surgery. Now I don’t even really remember what my original natural nose looked like, and these days I’m living satisfied with my face as if it was always like this^^;; People around me also say something changed, and I hear a lot that I became prettier and more sophisticated haha These days I feel so happy. Also, because I had surgery without an implant, I really like that it can look like my original natural nose, like the nose I was born with haha
For people like me who want rhinoplasty but feel resistant to implants and are scared of side effects, I think getting a consultation for implant-free surgery is a really good option. During hospital consultations, if you pursue implant-free surgery too much, it might fall short of your expectations, so I think the doctors’ opinions are really important. I felt that my doctor was well known for implant-free surgery and revision surgery. I recommend doing plenty of consultation legwork and getting implant-free surgery haha
