I had surgery for a hooked nose last summer. To describe my nose, first of all, I have a long face and a long midfaceᆢ so my nose is basically long and high, and it also has a severe hump. The nasal tip was droopy too, like a hawk-like nose.. So the surgeon in charge made a plan to do it without an implant: osteotomy of the nasal dorsum to bring it together, shaving down the hump, straightening the deviated nasal septum, and lifting the nasal tip with ear cartilage.
The result was that one week after surgery, when the cotton packing was removed from both nostrils, the columella was quite noticeably deviated to one side.. When the doctor saw it, they gave me silicone to insert into my nostril for about a month.. but in the end, it had no effect at all
When I brought up revision surgery around 3 months, they said it had to be at least 6 months, so I've been waiting until now and am going to book a consultation..
This has been my nose surgery review so far, but is it usually the case that the nose cannot be fixed with the first surgery?
In the end, my large nose, hump, and drooping nasal tip did not improve.
I'm worried about how I should have the revision consultation.. and how to coordinate the after-service as well.. I'm depressed..
If you are also going to book surgery, I urge you to be really careful and consult many clinics..
