My current eyes - I had my first double-eyelid surgery by the buried-suture method 7 years ago Concern - Is it because I didn’t get a canthoplasty back then? The inner corners of my eyes look too hidden, and I originally had short, clam-like eyes horizontally, and the double-eyelid line isn’t that high either, so it feels like it didn’t improve much.. Desired eye shape - I want to bring out the hidden inner corners of my eyes and get a semi-out line
Originally, I had no thoughts of revision surgery and was just living thinking I’d live with what I was born with, but my eyes looked so small and unattractive that I wanted to do more ㅠ I went to 3 consultations, and choosing a clinic itself was hell.. First of all, there are so many plastic surgery clinics, and there are so many reviews saying “my eyes turned out great~,” so I judged that it would be too inefficient to go for consultations based only on those reviews. I just chose clinics that didn’t have many directors at the clinic itself Because it had also been so long since I’d had a plastic surgery consultationㅋㅋ and I remembered myself being intimidated for no clear reason by the people working at the plastic surgery clinic when I got my first double-eyelid surgery.. ㅋㅋㅋ = I’m an introvert
1. Gangnam M a b l e -There is an additional fee for revision surgery -The director seems very cheerful, including his way of speaking and even his hairstyle…. When I told him what kind of line I wanted, he explained very clearly and confidently, like “Now~ take a look~” -But here they recommended natural adhesion. Since I had buried sutures for my first surgery, sometimes my right side would loosen when I woke up, so I was a bit puzzled that it wasn’t incisional. Maybe he pursues a completely natural look? -I went for a double-eyelid surgery consultation and unexpectedly got diagnosed for epicanthoplasty -They said there’s some discount if you write a review, but my interest had already faded from the natural adhesion part.. so I don’t remember properly TMI: Actually, I went thinking there were two directors here, but it’s huge and there seemed to be about four directors?? But everyone was kind, so it was okay
2. Gangnam Ch a i -There is an additional fee for revision surgery -The director explained things calmly and gently, and he looked warm. While he was explaining, I somehow felt the vibe of experience.. -But here, unexpectedly again, I got diagnosed for ptosis correction + two types of canthoplasty ㅠㅠ -Unusually, full sleep anesthesia.. Maybe because of that, they said there is a separate anesthesia fee too -There was a discount for writing a review + same-day booking. I heard there are many places where consultants pressure you into same-day booking, but this place wasn’t like that -I was highly satisfied with the director’s consultation and the consultant was kind too, but quite a few additional diagnoses came up, so the cost jumped way up.. TMI: I didn’t want canthoplasty, so when I said I was worried about side effects from lateral canthoplasty, they said they have a special surgical method unique to Chai, so even if it feels like the outer corner has attached a little, it’s just an illusion and there won’t be a D-shaped reattachment. At this point I was slightly like, oh? tempted
3. Apgujeong O l l o -There is a revision surgery fee -The director tends to explain calmly and gently. He looked younger than the Chai director, but the consultation felt similar -For the first time, I was diagnosed only for double-eyelid surgery. So moved.. We decided on an incisional semi-out line -There is a discount for writing a review TMI: The director’s consultation was the longest.. But because I went to 3 consultations in one day, by the last one I was a bit exhausted and I think I just kept nodding at his explanations.. Thinking about it now, he explained everything in detail really well, so I feel a bit sorry to the director..ㅋㅋ
Choice - Looking only at the clinics, the 2nd and 3rd ones appealed to me the most. As for the canthoplasty diagnosis, if I say I’m not going to do it anyway, the clinic won’t force it.. For now, I put down a deposit at the 3rd place because it was closest to the budget I had set, but since it’s revision surgery, I’m planning to go to a few more consultations in a few days. They said they’ll refund the full deposit even if I end up doing it at another clinic, so I’ll trust that.. And canthoplasty can be done later too, right? I think I can get the revision surgery first, and if my eyes still look too stuffy, then consider canthoplasty at that time
