Eye Surgery Reviews

1-week review of diagonal canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty

I originally had natural double eyelids, but my eyes always felt stuffy, so I went in for a consultation. As soon as the director saw my eyes, they accurately diagnosed the cause of the discomfort I had always had and the solution, so it felt really relieving haha They said that while doing diagonal canthoplasty, if they pinched the eyelid once with the buried-suture method, my eyes would probably look prettier, but when I said that method felt like too much, they suggested going with the next-best option: pulling only the front part once with a thread. So I booked surgery for the very next day.

The surgery was done under sedation followed by local anesthesia, with me conscious during the procedure. Since I’m a scaredy-cat, I felt like it took quite a while. (It didn’t hurt.) Right after surgery, I was really worried about the area where I had lower canthoplasty, but they said it would gradually move upward and that I would be able to smile with my eyes too, so I’m waiting for the swelling to go down. I had the stitches removed today, and I’m attaching photos from 7 days after surgery.
