First, before the consultation, you have to get an X-ray of the surgical area. It was too far to go to the place the hospital told me about, so I had it taken at a radiology clinic near my house. The place they told me about was 54,000 won, so it was expensive. You have to copy the CD and bring it, and they consult based on that. I was considering eyebrow bone surgery as my first cosmetic surgery and booked a consultation. When I visited, there was 1 person waiting, so I thought, “It’s true that they only do 3 consultations and 1 surgery a day.” It did seem like they could focus on each person. There was someone consulting in the previous time slot, so I waited about 30 minutes and then had the consultation with the director. Looking at the X-ray photo I brought, he said my frontal sinus bone was thin, so ordinary burring wouldn’t be effective, and if they burred thin bone incorrectly, it could make a hole, so they would need to fracture it with an osteotomy and push it in. He glanced over my face and pointed out what would be good to do, but since he knows why patients come to his hospital, he only briefly mentioned things other than the forehead. I had gone there only looking at the forehead too.
After asking about side effects and various things, I consulted with the counseling manager, and I had felt this from the KakaoTalk consultation too, but they have strong pride. In the end, I decided to do only the forehead area.
That’s how it went, and as for the price, they don’t really negotiate. They have set prices, so they said this is this much and that is that much, wrote it down quickly, and said that was it. I already roughly knew the price range was expensive and had planned my budget around that, so I just booked right away. There was no talk of the common review discount or cash discount either. For this part, I actually liked that it was clean and we didn’t have to read each other’s minds. The surgery is in 2 weeks, and I’m going to organize more of my concerns about side effects and things like that, and clearly say on the day what kind of forehead I want.
Now that I’ve booked surgery here, I’m going to book consultations for the next steps, contouring and nose surgery too. I’ll leave another surgery review and consultation review then.
