Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

I’m really so satisfied with the double-jaw surgery I had at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic! …

Before-before, after-after I started orthodontic treatment in elementary school because of my protruding lower jaw. (With orthodontics, until my first year of high school, I maintained a normal bite where my upper teeth were in front of my lower teeth.) But the doctor said that after my growth period passed, my jaw would return to its original position, and that I would need double-jaw surgery then.

At that time (elementary school), I was young and didn’t think much of it, but when I became a second-year high school student, my lower jaw gradually started coming forward, and by age 20, just as the doctor had said, it had returned to its original state. I really hated seeing my appearance change from my second year of high school until age 20. So I began thinking about double-jaw surgery.

I thought it would be safest to have surgery at the most famous hospital, so I looked mainly into well-known places, and among them was EU Oral.

I was drawn to EU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery because the doctor was known for being good at surgery, and after the consultation, I liked the overall aspects such as the timing of surgery, the surgical method, and the hospital’s reliability. So I didn’t look into other places and decided right away to have surgery at EU.

Surprisingly, I could breathe as well as I did before surgery. Luckily, I wasn’t in pain and breathing wasn’t difficult, so I think my recovery was a bit fast. Before surgery, I didn’t feel nervous or worried; I only thought about how I would take care of myself after surgery, so after the operation I focused only on recovery. That’s why I drank New Care and water really diligently.

Even after being discharged and recovering at home, I tried to eat as well as possible. Until before day 6 after surgery, I completely blended nutrient-rich porridge and ate that, and my main foods were beef bone broth, banana shakes, and New Care.

From day 6 after surgery, my main foods were soft bread like castella soaked in milk, completely crushed and boiled ramen, canned tuna, soft tofu, and protein powder. I ate all three meals a day. I also went on walks every day for swelling.

From month 1, I could chew, so I’ve been eating fish, rice, intact(?) ramen, bread, and so on.

I’m really satisfied after the surgery. My friends are all male friends, so they don’t express things much, but many of them are really surprised. They say I became cuter than before surgery, my face got smaller, and I look like a different person. If my friends say that much, I think the surgery really went well.

Because of my personality, I did go around without a mask even before surgery, but I was really conscious of my jaw. These days I don’t worry about it, so my head doesn’t hurt and it’s so comfortable and nice. But there is still swelling left in my cheeks, so I should walk often, and I’m looking forward to how I’ll change going forward. Deciding to have double-jaw surgery, and deciding to have surgery at EU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, I think both were good choices!!
