I had ptosis correction at a place called ㅋㄹㅅㅁㅅㅇㅇ in 2020 and had an incisional procedure in an inner double-eyelid style, but both outer eye corners started drooping. It stressed me out every time I looked in the mirror, so I went to consultations at 3 places for revision eye surgery, and I’ll write up my consultation reviews.
ㅍ-ㅈㄱㅅ They looked at things in great detail and very carefully. I told them I wanted to improve the drooping of both outer eye corners, and they said that even after surgery, the eyes can droop more over time. They also said there is a method of doing the surgery by raising the line a bit more, but then my current impression could change quite drastically. I said I only wanted to improve the drooping outer eye corners while keeping my current eye shape, so they recommended preserving the line as it is and doing an incisional method to lift the outer eye-corner area plus ptosis correction.
What I felt: The consultant was kind and the director was kind too, but although they said my image could change a lot if the line were raised more, they couldn’t guarantee it. Because of that, I felt a bit hesitant about this place. They quoted 1.8 million won.
ㅇㅇㅇ-ㅈㅇㅎ At this place, I told the consultant about the improvement I wanted for my drooping eyes, and they said the director would have to see me in person to know, but they might recommend a brow lift. That was a bit unexpected, but when I actually consulted with the director, what they recommended was doing the surgery with the buried-suture method. I had naturally assumed it would be the incisional method, but the reason they suggested buried sutures was that I already have an eye line, so they said there was no need to do an incision. Then the consultation ended.
What I felt: I got the feeling that the director wanted to finish the consultation quickly, and even if it were done with the buried-suture method, I thought the improvement in drooping eyes might loosen again quickly, so I felt this place didn’t really suit me. They quoted 890,000 won.
ㄴㄴ-ㅇㅅㅈ The director here gave the most detailed consultation. After looking at the areas I wanted to improve, they suggested removing fat near the outer eye corners and slightly raising the line. They also said my inner eye line drops too sharply? and suggested raising that area a bit more too. They said that would make my eyes look gentler, and when the consultant pinched that area and had me open my eyes, my eyes really did look gentler and slightly bigger.
What I felt: Out of the 3 places I consulted at, I liked this one the most. I haven’t consulted elsewhere yet, but if I had to choose, there’s a high chance I’d go with this place. But the price came out the highest. It was 2.3 million won for incision + ptosis correction. For now, I did pay a 100,000 won deposit by card, but since I set the surgery date for mid-August, they said if I cancel the surgery by sometime in July, they’ll refund 100% of the deposit.
I haven’t decided yet whether to consult more places or just have surgery at one of those 3 hospitals. I liked ㄴㄴ the most, but the price was higher than I expected, so I’m debating.
