First, I had been worrying about my upper arms so much since high school, and as soon as I turned 20 I started looking into clinics and decided to have surgery this week!! In the meantime, I did an insane amount of online research, and in the end I narrowed it down to 4 clinics and went for consultations!! Looking up consultation reviews while doing all that research was so hard, so I hope this helps even a little bit to those of you who are about to get lipo~~!! But seriously, after going around a few places I feel like I’ve become a master at this,,, 1. ㄹㅇㅇㅂ (Apgujeong) There was only one director here, so I didn’t specifically choose one Since they only focus on arms, I changed into a gown only from the top and went straight to the InBody test Then I consulted with the counselor, and at first they explained what liposuction is and how the surgery is done, and asked me to take off the gown, then felt my arms and said they would remove all of this here,,, Since I tend to store fat mostly in my upper body, they said I’d need the armpit area, the whole arms, the underarm area, and the back bulges too, and that the effect would be good,,, Here, it seemed like I didn’t consult directly with the doctor; the counselor just felt my body, gave me the estimate, and explained the surgery... Since it was my first consultation, I didn’t know much, but after going to other places, the fact that I didn’t consult with the doctor did bother me a little...? Anyway, they measured my arm circumference and gave me the estimate, but the price went up depending on arm size?? It was divided into levels 1, 2, and 3 I think I was level 2..? I don’t remember well,,, Aftercare was said to be similar to other hospitals, with radiofrequency, scar laser, etc. a few times!! They showed before-and-after photos and said it would be possible like this... The total cost was in the upper 3 million won range! (But they said if you book that day, they’d waive the VAT... the pressure wasn’t that intense!)
2. ㅃㄴㄱㅃ (Sinnonhyeon) There is one female director and one male director here, and I chose Director ㄱㄷㅇ I changed clothes, did the InBody test, and was told I’d have to wait about 30 minutes for Director Kang Daewon, so I just waited,,, because he’s so famous I got my consultation directly with the director, and just like before, he felt my arms and said he would remove everything and take out as much fat as possible,,, He said I do have a fair amount of muscle, but also a lot of fat, so I’d get thinner. And then he explained the surgery method the same way, I asked what I wanted to ask, and then I went to talk with the counselor Here, they said I should do the back too Aftercare included swelling laser, radiofrequency, Endermologie, and scar laser The total cost was around the upper 3 million won range with back / just over 5 million won with back included
3. ㄹㅂㅇㅂㄴ (Sinsa) There are four directors here, and I really wanted to see Director ㅈㅅㅇ, so I chose him and had the consultation I changed into a gown, did the InBody test, and first talked with the counselor... At other places, they were very ^^soft-spoken and kind during the consultation, But here they were blunt. They said skinny-arms aren’t possible. You can slim down and refine the line, but you can’t get bone-thin arms. I have to lose fat myself too. Just straight up... saying it, but everything they said was true so I was nodding along... The counselor didn’t seem super kind And when the director did the ultrasound, it’s embarrassing to be undressed in bright light, right? Here they turned off all the lights and covered me with clothes, only leaving my arms exposed... And then the consultation with the director started, and honestly he was so, so kind. But he also seemed very F.M.-type, and he explained the surgery method in an easy-to-understand way and calmly explained everything one by one! Based on the director’s explanation, this seems like the best place... Then I went back to the counselor to discuss the price, and there was no separate aftercare here... Instead, they said if I write a review they’ll give one free radiofrequency treatment and one trapezius Botox treatment... I hesitated a bit because there was no aftercare, but they said radiofrequency and all that isn’t really necessary and that just stretching at home would be enough. So~~ Anyway, they also had extra charges by arm circumference. There wasn’t much pressure to decide that day, and they told me to think it over enough So the total cost was in the lower 3 million won range
4. ㄷㄹㅇ (Apgujeong) I chose Director ㅈㅈㅎ here I went a little early, put on a gown, and waited (they don’t do InBody here!!) Then I got an immediate consultation with the director, but hmm, he recommended some other diet program... (I came for lipo) He felt my arms and said the effect would be good... and told me not to do PT (all hospitals say no strength training, NEVER!!! absolutely no XX) But here they said they’d only make one incision at the surgical area? The areas are the same for breast side, underarm, arms, and back, but they said they’d only make one hole... that was kind of fascinating He answered questions about the surgery method and other things, and while I was waiting for the counselor... they said it would take 1 hour to consult with the counselor, not the director, so I just left... They said they’d tell me the price by phone So the total cost was in the lower 4 million won range if I did it with the director I chose? But if I did it with another director, it was in the 2 million won range? There seems to be a big price difference depending on the director..!
I really, really, really deliberated.... It’s my first surgery and I was a bit scared, so I wanted a safe place. A place with no controversy about side effects! What I learned after going around was... there were a few places that had controversy over over-liposuction.......... (I found the photos while searching and was honestly shocked) And at other clinics, they all said it would turn out like the reviews, that they’d remove as much as possible. That would be great if it really turned out that way, but honestly I had some doubts and I was a little scared... So I decided to do it at ㄹㅂㅇㅂㄴ, where they spoke bluntly.!! The reason I chose this hospital was, as I said, that it felt like they prioritized safety, and the consultation with the director was the biggest reason it felt so good! The counselor... hmm.. not really..? They weren’t super kind, but it turns out the consultation with the director is more important than I thought,,, But there’s no separate aftercare here, and from other reviews it seemed like if I just stretch hard at home it’s okay!! So I decided on this place and I’m having surgery this week.......... I’ll bring back the surgery review.....
