Huhuhu finally, the swelling has gone down to about what my face looked like before surgery
When I wrote my 3-day review last time, everyday life was generally uncomfortable, I was always stressed, and my reflection in the mirror didn’t seem to change, so it was really hard. Only now do I feel like I can live again..
Things I’m happy I can finally do Eating meat, going to work without a mask, smiling widely, Pilates
There’s no pain, I can open my mouth fairly well, and sensation has mostly come back too, but amazingly, only the areas where I have filler, my lips and chin, are slow to regain sensation. If my cheekbones are 90% back, my lips and chin aren’t even half back,, My chin muscles also haven’t fully loosened yet, so it feels hard So when I eat, the shape and movement of my lips feel awkward, like a side effect from badly done Botox, so it’s a bit uncomfortable only during lunch at work Also, I’m bothered that the swelling is going down unevenly
When you look at facial contouring reviews or Q&As, most say you can return to daily life after 1-2 weeks, but based on my own experience, after about 4-5 days, daily life is possible. Literally only ‘possible.’ You absolutely cannot do it properly If I were explaining it, I’d say it’s possible from 3 weeks onward Especially for people with lots of outside activities (group settings) or office workers If you’re normally outgoing, people around you will think something is strange They ask if something happened.. You’re forced to talk less and become quiet.. So I pretended I had body aches for a few days too, and kept eating separately... At work, school, or anywhere people know your face, you can’t go around without a mask until 2 weeks. Good thing it’s winter
And this was unexpected, but it’s mentally so exhausting Even while just going about daily life, if I feel like I might have chewed even a little too hard.? Or let my guard down, even when I’m working, I can’t stop thinking about whether that might cause nonunion or whether the pins might move
Even so, I’m already very satisfied with the results, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead Because I can see the swelling going down day by day, I think it makes me work harder on care and exercise Especially my side profile, I’m already satisfied enough that I’d be fine if it stayed like this, so I look at my side profile in the mirror every day and sit there taking photos I really should have done it sooner when I was younger.. People who’ve had facial contouring all say this, but I never thought the day would come when I’d say it too I hope the second and third months pass quickly I want to spend this year’s cherry blossom season and summer happily
