I had functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty together!

When I was upright, I had a runny nose; when I lay down to sleep, my nose would get blocked. I had rhinitis. I had always said I definitely needed rhinitis surgery someday... but human greed is like that, right? If I’m doing it anyway, I start thinking, should I get cosmetic surgery too~ After deciding on rhinoplasty and searching intensely, YouTube’s algorithm showed me a video by Director Choi Im-don. I liked the video, so I checked out the blog and looked for reviews, and there were more reviews than I expected~ I made an appointment and went for a consultation, and he explained everything in a gentle way. What first appealed to me was his mindset of not pursuing standardized beauty, but operating according to each person’s unique face. What I liked even more was that he took and showed me a CT scan, and said he personally designs patient-customized silicone and makes it with a 3D printer. After taking the CT scan, I found out I had a hump and a deviated nose, so he corrected the hump and deviated nose. For the nasal bridge, silicone was used; for the nasal tip, donated cartilage, cartilage from inside my nose, and a little ear cartilage were used. Since I was already doing it, I also had 4 thread-lifting threads inserted during the surgery. I also had indemnity insurance, so getting insurance coverage reduced the burden a bit, which was nice. After the surgery, I was touched that the director personally came to the recovery room to check on my condition~ I said I wanted a straight-to-slightly-curved line that wasn’t too sharp, like Baek Yerin or Kim Go-eun, and I’m so grateful to the director for operating with a design that fits me perfectly. My rhinitis was severe, so I’m grateful that I can breathe through my nose, and I plan to live my whole life feeling thankful to the director for also making it look beautiful~~
