Around this time last year I became interested in eye surgery and made appointments at several places
The first clinic where I had a consultation
But back then, I didn’t know this community existed
When I searched recently, I found out this clinic had also been involved in controversy over ghost surgery
And the consultant is known to be pretty heavy with pressure tactics
Anyway, I had booked a consultation with the representative director
When I was consulting with the consultant, she first asked what budget I had in mind, so I told her
Then she said I couldn’t have surgery with the representative director for that amount and introduced me to another director
She said he was the best at eye surgery after the representative director
But it turned out he was the director with the fewest reviews at that clinic (she recommended him to fit my expected surgery cost)
Anyway, while I was getting the consultation, the director seemed extremely confident at the time
And according to the consultant, the surgery schedule was originally fully booked, but only that same day happened to open up
She said if I had surgery that day, they would make it a bit cheaper
I got tempted by that and ended up having the surgery (if he were skilled, there’s no way his schedule would just be open)
I ended up getting incisional inner double eyelids with ptosis correction
You probably got the general feeling while reading this,
but it seems cheap things are cheap for a reason It came undone after only a few months...
So a few days ago, I tried to book an AS consultation
But I saw that the director who operated on me had moved to another clinic
So I had to get my follow-up consultation with another director instead
This time too, whether because he was busy or not, they didn’t seem willing to connect me with the representative director
From the start, the representative director’s surgery fee is more than 2-3 times higher than the other directors, so I didn’t expect it anyway
And even if they did AS, it was obvious there would be an extra cost, so I didn’t really want to throw away more money just to get AS
Anyway, this director had only recently joined the clinic
He didn’t have that much experience, so there also weren’t many reviews
Still, they said they would do the AS without an extra cost, so I said okay
And yesterday, I had the surgery
During the surgery, the director was chatting with the nurse who was taking care of things next to him
Starting with whether she knew the song that was playing, to what she was doing after work, and so on
Inside, I was thinking, why is he not focusing on the surgery?
But on the other hand, I comforted myself by thinking, maybe he’s doing this because he’s confident and relaxed?
And the director who did my first surgery
kept checking how my eyes looked open, maybe to adjust the line, and repeated stitching and undoing it several times, so it took longer and hurt
But since that was my first surgery, I thought, so this is how they match both lines during surgery
But the director who did the AS finished it right away without any process of stitching and undoing
??? I wondered if he was doing it roughly because it was AS, but then
I accepted it as, he must have finished it right away because he’s skilled
Anyway, the surgery ended like that
But when I looked, one side feels like it was only stitched halfway and then left unfinished
Still, well, the director must have had a reason for everything, so he must have done it this way, right? I’m comforting myself like that again
Just in case, when I go to get the stitches removed in a week, I’m planning to ask about it
I really hope it turns out well this time haha
