I had my first surgery with an incisional method, but seriously, it was like they put two Vienna sausages on my eyes; and I preferred extremely natural-looking eyes too.. At first, everyone comforted me by saying the swelling would go down and things would settle, but as people started reacting with, “Shouldn’t you get revision surgery?”, I started looking into revisions.
I heard sausage-eye revision is hard too, so it really gave me a headache. I tried looking for hospitals that specialize in eyes, private clinics, and clinics with revision surgery cases, and I carefully narrowed them down after checking their websites and reviews. It was such a long journey just to get consultations, and I even lost weight (actually, nice?)
I mostly went around the Apgujeong area, but why is consultation time always over in a flash.. I ended up having surgery at the clinic where they were the only ones who took a long time to look at my eye condition and talked things through.. It was a double-incision revision, so honestly even on the day of surgery I was like, what if? I was insanely nervous.. but now I can’t believe the line I wanted is actually on my eyes.
A lot of the swelling has gone down, and with an in-line double eyelid in my life.. I feel like I’ve been reborn. I really went through a lot of emotional stress during the revision, so everyone getting their first surgery please.. please!!!!!!!! Don’t just go for the famous ones, go around in person and find places that actually care about your eyes.
It got way longer than I expected while I was writing this, and today is already the last day of February. Everyone enjoy the holiday~,~ I’m going on a trip and taking tons of selfies.
