I’ll say this first for reference! First surgery - I had it with the non-incisional method and did not get canthoplasty or ptosis correction. (I got an in-out line, but the swelling didn’t go down and the line didn’t lower, so it almost feels like an out-line..) Revision surgery - I hoped to have surgery with the non-incisional method/natural adhesion and wanted to lower the line into an in-out line.
For the consultation reviews, I’ll write in a casual note style because it’s easier for me.
1. ㄷㄹㅅ I went for a consultation because, from the reviews, it seemed like they do a lot of surgery with natural adhesion. The order was consultant > director > consultant, and it took about 1 hour including waiting. The consultant was very enthusiastic, while the director had low energy and was on the blunt side. They said that if I wanted to lower the line, getting surgery by incision would be a more definite method than natural adhesion, and they recommended doing ptosis correction together. The consultation with the director was short, but I liked that they accurately pointed out what I was concerned about. This was a place where the consultation with the consultant was much longer than with the director. There was nothing bad, but I didn’t feel anything particularly good either.
2. ㅁㅂ This was also a place I went to after seeing natural adhesion reviews. The order was consultant > director > consultant, and it took 50 minutes to 1 hour including waiting. I liked that the consultant’s consultation was simple and felt like they only gave the necessary information. Personally, I don’t really like when consultants make the surgical diagnosis and give all kinds of advice.. They likewise recommended revision surgery by incision, and said that if the line is lowered, the puffy-looking shape would improve, but there was no particular need for ptosis correction. They held up both a semi-out and an in-out line for me, and I liked the in-out more. Overall, I liked that the atmosphere was not forceful.
3. ㅇㅇㅇ I went because it seemed like they were good at naturally creating double eyelid lines. The order was consultant > director > consultant, and it took almost two hours including waiting. The consultant was ordinary and it felt like it proceeded strictly by the manual, but there were so many people and I strongly felt that the consultation schedule was not organized well.. I waited a long time. They said that because my skin is thick and my line is high, it was wrong to have had the first surgery with the non-incisional method in the first place. They strongly recommended doing it by incision even for revision surgery. They explained while showing photos of people like me whose lines were set too high. They also recommended posterior lower canthoplasty because if I lower the line, my eyes might look smaller than now, but I said I wouldn’t do it. It stayed in my memory because the price was the most expensive.
4. ㄱㄴ The order was consultant > director > consultant, and it took about 1 hour and 30 minutes including waiting. The consultant was kind, and the director explained things calmly and in detail. They said that because my skin is thick, I should lower the line by incision, and because my eye-opening strength is good, there is no need for ptosis correction. Since I had heard about canthoplasty at the previous hospital, I asked about it, and they said based on the ratio of the whites of my eyes, they did not recommend posterior lower canthoplasty. They said if I really wanted to do one, epicanthoplasty would be better. If you book on the same day, they give a certain discount, and the amount was quite large.. I liked that they explained everything, even small details, without me having to ask first.
The wait was longest in the order ㅇㅇㅇ > ㄱㄴ > ㄷㄹㅅ = ㅁㅂ, and in some places, even after finishing the consultation with the consultant, there was another wait before moving on to the director. So even if it’s just eye consultation visits, I recommend setting aside at least 1 hour comfortably. If you need to take the subway and move a few stations, it’s better to set aside at least 1 hour and 30 minutes.
I finished consultations at 4 places, and while it was disappointing that I couldn’t have revision surgery with the method I wanted, the diagnoses actually leaned in one direction, so I became convinced that incision would definitely be better for my eyes. Right now, among these places, I paid a deposit at the place with the most reasonable cost and the line I liked during the consultation, and I’m waiting for the surgery date. If circumstances allow, I’ll also write a review after receiving the surgery.
