I’m writing only the facts, without exaggeration. Thinking this would be my last surgery, I used autologous costal cartilage. At first, during the consultation process, while I was debating between a natural line and a more dramatic line, I showed Min Hyo-rin’s nose and also showed noses of several celebrities. However, before going into the operating room, during the final consultation, I clearly showed photos and said, “Please make it a natural straight-to-gently-curved line.” At that time, the director said, “Hmm... I think something else would suit you better than this, but okay for now.” And I ended up with a dramatic semi-ski-slope nose. (The line is pretty.) Among people around me and in community posts, I saw many cases like mine. They ended up with the opposite of the line they wanted... Still, I can try to think positively. I live in Gangnam, so a nose like this can look a little obviously done, whatever... But what about the crookedness? When I went for a follow-up around 2 weeks later, Director Heo Woo-jin said, “The previous hospital where you had surgery created too much scar tissue, so while raising the height, it couldn’t be helped.” The nose in the third photo is my preoperative nose. What do you all think? Even if the director’s words are correct, isn’t correction of asymmetry or a crooked nose included in revision surgery? After avoiding responsibility like that, the next thing he said was, “Actually, the problem isn’t the nose, it’s the cheekbones.” When I heard this, I was dumbfounded. Before surgery, he had praised me so much, saying I looked like some idol, and then suddenly he was criticizing my face. After that, I have not been going back to that hospital for follow-ups.
I work in front of a camera. Even now, whenever I take front-facing photos, I have to Photoshop them every day. I can’t even think about taking videos. I don’t know when it will be, but if I get nose surgery again, I want to meet a doctor who will feel responsible for my nose until the end.
