Review of double eyelid surgery consultations in Gwangju (ㅇㅇㅋ, ㅁㄷㅍ)

1. Clinic name: Medifill Plastic Surgery Consultation: Director Jo Tae-young Eyes: double eyelid surgery (incision; he said ptosis correction was not needed and epicanthoplasty was also not needed) / (incision + fat removal) 1.2 million won Consultation fee: 5,000 won

He is a board-certified plastic surgeon, and I had seen several reviews saying he does natural-looking double eyelids well, so I booked a consultation and went in. Um.. I had a consultation with the director... In Naver visitor reviews, it says he is kind, but um... I am not sure whether the director is the kind type... He felt like the commonly seen blunt type who only says what needs to be said, and because he seemed tired, having a relaxed conversation felt difficult. The consultation ended super quickly. 5 minutes..?

As I had seen in reviews, he tells you clearly when something is not advisable... and I liked that he clearly said he does not recommend procedures that are unnecessary, but... if I only listened to what the director said, I honestly could not tell whether he was telling me to get double eyelid surgery or not....? I wondered, even if I get double eyelid surgery, are my eyes doomed to turn out badly..? While lightly pinching my eyelids, he very cynically explained the problems that could occur if I had surgery on these eyes (because my eyes are protruding and my skin is on the thick side, the crease line above the double eyelid could stick out...). If you want a cold and harsh assessment..!! I recommend him... I went to another clinic.

2. Clinic name: iQueen Plastic Surgery Consultation: Chief Director Park Jang-wan Eyes: double eyelid surgery (he said my eyes are the type that should be done by incision, but if I am in a rush, buried suture would also be possible; ptosis correction is not needed, and epicanthoplasty probably would not be needed either) / (buried suture + fat removal 1 million won) Consultation fee: 10,000 won

My younger sister had double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction here and it turned out well, so I booked a consultation and went in. Because what I heard at Medifill was not good... I went thinking that if it did not work out here either, I would just not get double eyelid surgery. I had a consultation with the director, and he was truly 100 for kindness..!! It may have felt even more so because it contrasted with Medifill, but first of all, his way of speaking and tone were friendly and gentle. Even though he is a male director, he gives off the feeling that he would blend in well even in a group of women..? He was very sociable and kind, and explained various things well. Here too, he said my eyes are suited for incision, but given my situation, if I need surgery somewhat urgently, buried suture could at least be done first. He said the key is to make the line as thin as possible while finding an appropriate double eyelid line that is still visible and not hidden when I open my eyes.

Also, during the waiting time, there was a binder where you could see plastic surgery reviews :) Seeing actual reviews made me feel a bit more trust!

After the consultation, I scheduled a surgery date at iQueen for buried suture first. When scheduling the surgery date, they take 10% of the surgery fee as a deposit :)

Medifill quoted the price based on incision, and iQueen quoted the price based on buried suture.
