I got so many different recommendations, so honestly I was mentally overwhelmed. I decided to get just one more consultation, and in the end I’m planning to do it without canthoplasty, just incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction, at that clinic!
Out of 5 places, 3 recommended canthoplasty and 2 advised against it. The opinions that epicanthoplasty is unnecessary and that if I get canthoplasty, a lot of the lacrimal caruncle will show were so strong, so I thought it would be better to just go with the safer option and do it without canthoplasty. If I try it and feel like canthoplasty is really necessary, I’ll consider it then.
And I was also really conflicted about ptosis correction, but I decided because I judged that doing it would be better. Since everything is really determined by my own choice, this is so scary, and I keep wondering if I chose well....
I just really hope it’s a choice I won’t regret
