I’m a man, 1 month after implant-free rhinoplasty. I had long been concerned about my hump nose and crooked nose, so I was thinking about surgery. Because I was worried about whether the design would come out well, whether it would hurt, and whether there would be side effects after surgery, I was going around getting consultations for procedures rather than readily deciding on surgery. Then I had my first consultation with Dr. Kim Da-alm. What I felt during the consultation was that he showed me various cases and mentioned the risks. He said my nose was not fundamentally an unattractive nose, so rather than recommending surgery, he actually recommended a procedure. If I were to choose surgery, he spoke very reasonably about only touching up a little less than I had expected. It felt like he prioritized the patient over the hospital’s profit, so I decided on surgery as soon as I finished the consultation.
On the day of surgery, I got nervous and was shaking a lot while being disinfected, but the doctors reassured me and told me not to worry. Unlike what I had been worried about, I was anesthetized not long after the surgery started, time passed in a blur, and the surgery was over quickly. I’m usually very sensitive to pain, but maybe because the doctor did it so neatly, it really didn’t hurt at all.. If anything, the laser treatment I had for rhinitis a few years ago hurt more. And rather than surgical pain, the only slight discomfort on the first day was from the cotton packing inside my nose to stop bleeding! They remove the cotton right after one day, so if you just get through that one day, you can breathe through your nose and it doesn’t interfere with daily life.
I’m currently at the one-month mark, and I have no side effects at all. People around me keep praising me even though I only got my nose done. A friend who was thinking about rhinoplasty saw me and immediately went for a consultation at Obli Plastic Surgery, and they said they decided on surgery today :)
