I recently had nasal tip and bulbous nose surgery, with an ear cartilage strut placed in the columella, and ear cartilage was also added to the nasal tip to raise it.
Right after surgery, the length of the columella was noticeably higher than before surgery, but now, even though only a few days have passed, it feels like it has dropped a lot.... Of course it's obviously higher than before, but they say it will keep dropping over the next 6 months, so if it's already dropping now, after 6 months won't it basically be almost the same as before surgery? Then there was no point in doing it....
I haven't had the splint removed yet, so I don't have a front-view photo, and I'm just hoping the bulbous nose was corrected well at least.... Is everyone like this?
Is it because the strut was made with ear cartilage? Or because my skin is on the thicker side.... How is it for everyone? Does the nasal tip usually drop a lot just a few days after surgery? Or is the columella length not related to the tip dropping?
