Finally writing my autologous costal cartilage review..! I had my first rhinoplasty 3 years ago, and back then, just to save money, I got introduced to a hospital covered by indemnity insurance, and without any legwork or anything, I just lay down on the operating table right awayㅠㅠ Thinking about it now, I feel regretful. My nose was low to begin with and the nasal tip pointed downward, so I asked them to lift everything sharply, nasal bridge and all, but what do you know, after the splint came off and I looked in the mirror, there was one arrow nose there. I decided on revision surgery right away^^ Only then did I think a lot about what shape would suit me, and while I was looking through tons of plastic surgery community reviews because I felt I had to find a really skilled director, my nasal tip kept drooping like this ↓↓↓, looking like it was about to kiss my lips. Then I found my new doctor and had revision rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage like this!! I felt like my facial fat had sagged too, so during the consultation I said I wanted lifting altogether, but it wasn’t sagging XXXX, it was volume loss OOOO, so I also had full-face fat grafting done together.

Autologous costal cartilage pain/ Until day 3, it felt like someone had hit my ribs with a hammer. I suddenly remembered reviews saying the third day after autologous costal cartilage is hell hahaha It wasn’t unbearable.. I had read so many posts saying it hurts, so I was expecting maximum pain, so maybe because of that, it hurt less than expected. But every time I cough, I have to hold my ribs^^

Swelling/ The day after surgery was the peak, more than the day of surgery. From day 3, it gradually started going down toward the lower area, and yellow bruising began.

Nose shape, line/ Without exaggeration, because I had such a long nose and arrow nose, even just seeing it while the splint was on made my expectations keep risingㅠㅠ I was happy just from the fact that my nasal tip had been lifted upward.

After splint removal/ I almost bowed to them hahahahahahahaㅠㅠㅠ Because my nose had been done so roughly in the first surgery, the director said they had a hard time with the inside of my nose during this revision, and I felt unnecessarily guilty.ㅠㅠ Ha, even my mom, who had tried to stop me from having surgery, said it was much prettier than my previous nose, so doesn’t that say it all?ㅠㅠ Especially from the front, my nose made my face look very long because it looked long, but now it’s completely shortened..

I had no volume in my face, so looking older was an everyday thing, but even just looking at the front-facing photo, I’ve totally become baby-faced.. oh myㅠㅠ Honestly, it’s only been about 2 weeks, so maybe I just haven’t found anything uncomfortable or anything I dislike yet, but anyway, so far I’m extremely, extremely, extremely satisfied hahaha

For those thinking about revision rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage, or people like me who have a long nose + arrow nose, please use this as reference. I got a lot of help too, so I’m quickly leaving one post here.
