I debated whether to write a before-and-after review, but I wanted to help everyone who has the same concern as me, so I’m posting a surgery review.
After getting a chin T-osteotomy 6 years ago, I developed a slightly retruded chin look, so to cover that, I got chin filler about twice...
Ever since getting filler, when photos were taken from the side, only my chin tip would sag into a witch’s chin, which was extremely stressful. What really started stressing me out was after I dissolved the chin-tip filler, because the inside completely filled up with scar tissue, turning into a real witch’s chin. I worried about it for years, then after reading reviews from clinics that only do chin-tip lifts, I finally got the surgery last year after a long time thinking about it.
When I was just staying still, I thought it might look somewhat okay.. But gradually, symptoms like pulling at the chin tip? started bothering me too, and when I smiled for photos, my protruding jaw looked especially noticeable. They said this surgery could get rid of that too, and I just couldn’t keep living with it.
Honestly, there aren’t many clinics that do this surgery, so I didn’t really go around to a lot of consultations, but I saw someone whose lower face was really similar to mine improve exactly just the witch’s chin area, so I decided to accept the scar and get the surgery.
I also had liposuction removal, but almost nothing was removed, and it only made the chin area feel more lumpy. After looking into it more, I found that almost everyone who gets witch’s chin surgery had chin surgery first and then got chin filler afterward, and later they developed scar tissue at the chin tip?? They seemed to get the surgery to remove the lumpy feeling below the cobblestone wrinkles at the front of the chin.
There’s still a lot of scarring under my chin (almost 8 cm), but I think it’s worth paying that price to get rid of the dangling chin-tip feeling.
Honestly, I might regret the scar under my chin later, but for now, I’m satisfied that I solved something I’d worried about for years, and I’m continuing to wear the compression band. They say the more you compress it, the better, so later I’ll leave another review about whether the results still look good even without wearing the compression band.
